Appreciation thread for Sam Firbank, the very first person I met at Ashington this morning, who slept in his car to come to this event! ⬇ PS: I have absolutely no idea how I managed to fly the drone at Seaton Delaval, there were massive 39 mph gusts of wind!
There are plenty to see in Seaton Delaval! You should get some great ice creams in a cafe in the village centre, which is one of the best in the country, and take a taxi or bus further towards the coast you’ll find Seaton Delaval Hall which is a Grade I listed manor house with lots going on inside.
So nice to see the Northumberland Line now reopened to the public. Maybe Network Rail should reopen the former railway line that went from Alnmouth to Alnwick.
Really good video this, we were on the first train out of ashington as well, you can just see my dad's arm when you're talking about the pronunciation of Seaton Delaval...glad you enjoyed your day :)
It is so nice to see the Northumberland Line now reopened to passengers. Why not extend it to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and to add an extension from Newsham to Blyth.
lol where are the five people from your BAFTA headquarters community post with the "no glasses" and "you can see without glasses?" etc comments lol... I'm guessing you're the same as me - sight just improved so no longer needed them? Nice video as usual by the way!

I understand when you say there are not much train enthusiasts as they mostly find their way to the final Avanti West Coast class 221… 2:51
No, it’s just that most of them started at either Seaton Delaval or Newcastle
Best video covering the line reopening I've seen so far. Love how it covers more than just getting on and off the train like some others might do!
It was lovely to meet you today! This was a fantastic watch. And it was definitely worth the "windy" start
I absolutely agree 👍 what a great opening!
Always nice when an old line gets reopened, it can connect people together like it did 60 years ago. Nice video!
YES!!!
I saw you at the station at an ungodly hour, went home for a bit, then came back to join the crowd on the first train! What an exciting trip it was!
indeed it was!
Great video! It was nice see you at Seaton Delaval!

Amazing video! I wish I could have been at Ashington and Seaton Delaval but unfortunately I couldn't come.

Nice video :)
Now they just need to bring back the Leamside Line
Did you see Geoff Marshall there? I expected him to be laying on the ground somewhere. Excellent video again 👍
Nope. I’m excited to see his video.
@@rikufryderyk 👍
What are the train fares to Newcastle
Hi what app is best to see live running trains ?
You can use an app that’s built into your phone such as Apple maps or Google Maps
Riku you have to ride the new IRIZAR Ie tram bus on route 358 soon they are very cool and different to regular buses! Great vid BTW
I’m trying my best to get to Orpington/Crystal Palace soon… but the question is, how soon is soon? 😅
@@rikufryderyk well i mean maybe the next few months otherwise they are just going to start being a normal bus like the older citaro 358s are.

I saw you but I felt to scared to say hi
Sorry if I seemed a bit occupied and flustered, I get really nervous at station openings!
@@rikufryderyk it’s not you I’m just really shy
The big video about the new train line yet my question is What happened to your glasses?
😂 I’m not quite sure…
@@rikufryderyk 😂. Ah yes, this is what I was going to say. You are lucky these stations don't have lifts...
