Once again a great presentation. I can’t wear my Ostomy bag horizon, I wear a one piece . Well maybe if I turn it horizontally.
But the idea of emptying it would be a mess unless I’m a acrobat . I can’t wait for part 3 of your series. 💩🔴

Emptying a bag while it's horizontal can be tricky. Large (12") bags are easier than midi (7"). It can definitely be done with a one piece, but a two piece is more versatile because you can freely rotate most of them to suit your needs.

Nice one, Eric! I was wondering if during your presentation you were going to share a few hacks, i.e. one of the slick tricks for rotating 2-piece drainable bags. I won't spoil what it is for your other viewers as you 100% deserve the credit for this 😃 but it works every time - even while wearing a Stealth Belt Pro. After 3-days wear, I managed to reapply a small amount of this product to the outside rim of the wafer/bag connector and it enabled a smooth rotation for a further days' wear. Thanks Superstar!! Bring on Part III 🏆

Actually, I believe I brought that up during my panel the day after giving that presentation or even during the Q&A! I wish I could have expanded more during this presentation, but I have to work within the time I'm given.

My osteomy surgery is n 15 days. No osteomyelitis nurse in western Maine that I can find

Does the hospital you are having your surgery at have a stoma nurse? You can also check if any suppliers of ostomy products in your area can refer you to one. If none are locally available, there are telehealth stoma nurses who can offer guidance. Best of luck with your surgery 👍

My daughter just changed my apparatus and there is bile coming out. I have an ileostomy. Is this normal?

Hi Jennifer. How long ago did you have your surgery? I was having bile output quite often in the first few weeks/months, but now it only happens from time to time, usually if I'm not eating enough. No real cause for concern as far as I know.

@@VeganOstomy Thank you for responding! I truly appreciate it!
My surgery was January of this year. This is the first time having bile. My daughter told me that it was because I hadn’t eaten so far that day. So I ate and the output is very slow.
Thank you again so much for responding!
Your an amazing person with so many helpful videos!
