A spacer device needs to be washed in soapy water and air-dried before use. Then stored in a cotton or paper bag to avoid static. Plastic and over-handling can cause static, which will cause the medication to stick to the inside of the spacer device resulting in the person not getting a full dose of medication.
No... You have to 1.exhale fully 2.attach ur mouth to the mouth piece of spacer 3.fully press the cannister, inhale deeply for 2-3 sec for better intake of medication 4.hold ur breath for 10 sec for better absorption into ur body and exhale out slowly with pursued lips
There are 2 techniques 1 is single breathe and hold which is breathing in the medication and holding breath for 10 seconds then exhale thru a pursed lip. 2.multiple breath technique : the patient inhales the medication and exhales 5 times into the spacer and the remove mouth and exhale via a pursed lip. Thank you so much for sharing this video. You made it easy and I passed this station in my OSCE 🥰
