The 80s were so awesome and I was also a kid in the 80s. We used to ride together in back of pickups and climb on roofs and make prank calls on payphones remember there was no caller ID
No, the 80s were *not* the best time to live. The Cold War was still going on, the AIDS pandemic, there was still a LOT of racism (even though Jim Crow already ended), the clothes were ugly as hell, people wore a bird’s nest for hair, and Ariana Grande also wasn’t around.
Since the world’s first voice recording was in the year 1860, it would be really cool if there was a voice recording from a 114-year-old telling us what life was like in the 1750s. That way, they could show a picture of the old man in a UA-cam video and also show the voice recording, that way, people from 2023 would be hearing someone telling us what life was like in the mid 18th Century (1750s-1790s). And that old man even told us what life was like in the 1670s (possibly), 1680s, 1690s, 1700s, 1710s, 1720s, 1730s and 1740s because his parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents told him about it.
the lockdowns were brutal on some people. I was only 27 and I didn't meet my friends for 8~9months in 2020/21. I was home the whole time, in an appartment, without a garden, in a concrete block here in Western Europe😅 I actually cried a few times, but I wouldn't let the despair get to me. Now I'm almost good again, but I am still salty how politicians are pretending that nothing has happened some 20months ago😅 Where is our reparations?
But not the world, the heat was on, but not that bad. Still enjoyable & the best time to be alive, ever. And compared to the shit we have today, it was much, much better.
I kind of agree with you on the types of people. I've been all over the country. Vermont is Colorado type of people. It's just like Colorado. Mountains, weed, hunting in certain parts. I think Vegas would be a mix of California and Florida people. I lived there and there are few Colorado people. I was one of them when I lived there though. And I turned 5 in 1990 and I did not like the 80's when I was a kid. Cartoons and kid shows kind of freaked me out. And I'm still not a fan of the 80's. It was nothing but a big hang over from the 60's and 70's.
dude, nothing is better than listening to parents and grandparents talk about life back in the day. It actually sounds better than life now.

Miss the 80s, best years
I like your dad, he seems like a cool guy
quick we need a time machine this timeline sucks.
The '80s were THE BEST TIME to live.
Compared to today, this year goes directly down the drain.

Ain’t nothing like the 80s!
It was the best. 90s were great as well.
Everything changed literally around 911.

“The 80s was so much better than now.”
But what about the fact that there was no Doja Cat or Ariana Grande?
There was also war, racism, gangs, and the KKK(racism)
Wasn’t it nice to be white
