Guys, I just want to say I am so impressed with what you guys do. I am a retired O-6 ABM type with a 17 yr old who wants to go TACP. I can only tell him..."but you get shot at in that job!!!" The Pedro 66 episode hit home with me...the pilot was my high school wrestling coach's son. I remember him hanging out in the wrestling room as a little kid. Small world and a sad day for a lot of folks. Bless you guys and keep at it.
Thank you for sharing. When this happened, my husband and I were in the NICU with our new twins. We got the call from two friends relaying on behalf of Marisa Flores. We couldn’t go to his funeral and I still feel guilt. Fast forward, back to work after my whole 8 weeks of maternity leave, I was still grieving our loss of Mike. If I tried to talk about this at work, I felt my coworkers didn’t really know how to respond or deal with me. And we were a bunch of medics. I appreciate you sharing because even for friends and family twice, three times removed, it was hard to find comfort. We have to do better. 100percent.
We were deployed at FOB Shank supporting the Ranger Battalion when we heard about this. Very hard day for the community. Never Forgotten (TOML). "GUTS"
Old F-117 guy. We always had a Rescue Sqn assigned to watch over us. Usually were parked next to us. Al Jaber '03 and others times. We're always thankful for the PR & CASevac/CSAR mission!! @onesready
You’re a true badass, Doug! I’m grateful for you sharing your stories and experiences. Condolences on your losses. It’s hard to fathom the extent of that situation. But, I personally looked up to you as a leader the brief few months I had with you in EMT so I can’t imagine you commandingly reacting any other way. I hope you and yours are doing well.
This story really hits home for me. I was part of the recovery crew on the maintenance side. I had just gotten to know Ben during this deployment. We found out we were from the same small town in Tennessee and he knew my stepsister. I never got to hear the story from the operator side of the house.
@@86AW11 I don’t say this lightly, as we routinely deal with misinformed teens; this comment, your comment, is the single cringiest thing we have ever seen. We even talked about it on our group chat. We even saved screenshots in a special folder of the absolute worst attempts at trolling we see. Although, you’re actually number 14th best (which is just mid).
Respect to you boys. I love the name of the podcast. How many times did I say 1's ready. Stay in the fight.

Thank you very much for sharing this. Much respect to every one of you.
Thank you for sharing your experience with what happened that day. Ben White was the son of a friend of mine.

We worked close with these boys at camp bastion in Helmand. They’d bring in the injured, it was a sad day when these boys crashed.
Thank you for sharing

What’s your problem with SERE?
Absolutely no problem with SERE. Good natured ribbing amongst the tribes, that’s all.
