That's just...so unfortunate that Himi does not make simple tops for the paint. Once you opened the container with colour its opened forever. Mine new himi got moldy because of that after the first try. Never ever happened with any guash no matter how cheap and dirty it was. Adding tops would be such an easy and logical solution. I am so sad. I ll have to get rid of the basically new box and i cant even return it.
Unfortunately I think they're avoiding on doing that just so that people will want to buy the set all over again. Sad but probably the truth for business companies...
They don't do it because it's *supposed* to be a one time use product, where students use it all up during art exams in china. That's why they're student grade and affordable. There are many videos on how to store these long term on youtube, i highly recommend them. But please don't imply offensive things that simply aren't true.
Use alcohol to disinfect the gouache, mine never molded is 2 years old and still wet.
Make sure you're using bottled/distilled water to avoid mold, not tap water.

I put them in my normal fridge and they never did anything wrong and when they dried up I just put some water and mixed them and they became jelly-like again
I'm a gouache beginner. I bought the big twin-set on Amazon and, except for needing a pliers to open the lids, I'm really enjoying them. But...no refills?!?!?!
