Game changer right there. The diagonal support seems to be make a dramatic impact. I particularly like the bottom leg piece you make for the bottom of the canvas but your skills top mine at this point 😂 I use cinder blocks to hold my easel right now.. I need to add the self tapping screws and braces! That I can handle!
I added the self-tapping screws before adding the support leg, you might not need the screws but, it made a large difference in the movement on mine. I think the stand should have an adjustable lower canvas piece, it only makes since. Tons of wood scrap in my shop, took me 10-minutes to make. If I could find a way to get one to you, I can, will and would. The stand will still take a 24-inch-canvas standing up with it installed. AND yes, the diagonal brace makes a HUGE difference!! Made me wonder why it is not in the design to begin with.... Really enjoy your work, thanks for the comment!
