Thank you Lush Gardener. This will solve my problem. I have an Echeveria Lilacina that I have never been able to leaf propagate albeit I've attempted it multiple times. I've beheaded her once bc her stem had gotten very long and she did fine. So I know I can do it again but this time I'll try your method.

oh oh .. no I don’t use anything I just let nature do it’s work …haworthia pups can be very slow even the mother plant putting out pups can be very slow my haworthia has put pups after 3-4 yrs
I have a very pretty moon stone . U cut two lowermost leaves , and put them for prapogation . Both rotted , but didn't produce pup or root . The morher plant is very strong. Should I try once again?
yes, actually with moonstone. It’s usually this problem the leaves tend to Rot I would say right now don’t do it because it is supposed to be Moonstone dormant period because it is a variety of patchyphytum

Anjali S aww yes don’t worry beheading will give u very quick results but I would suggested don’t do it during monsoon season ....lot of moisture in the air .... coz both the cuts on the stem and the crown has to be completely dry till the cuts get healed..... But yea by far the fastest method of multiplying succulent.....also don’t behead agavodies and sempervium varieties of succulents

There are two ways one you just lay on dry soil or any dry surface ( no moisture at all ) don’t tuck in dry soil immediately every cut must get calloused...... once calloused u can either tuck in soil but keep it in indirect sunlight cause roots are not present if u expose to direct sun the succulent will get dehydrated very quick . Now when the roots starts to get produced the succulent cutting that was once lose in the soil you wil feel it’s kind of firm in soil ... But if you’re not sure or confused with this method I would suggest just leave it on dry soil ( don’t tuck in ) or leave it on dry dry surface in indirect bright sunlight and wait till you see the roots I call this process as air rooting 😊
Perlite is optional cause sand alone will make the soil lose enough but if you still want a substitute then. U can use pumice or cinder ..... ** For nutrients u can use aquarium water or u can use banana peel water or seaweed liquid fertiliser but remember nutrients must be added only once a month during growing season and maybe once in two months during non growing period ...... ** vibrant colours will come naturally during the winter season or when the succulent goes into dormant stage ......full morning sunlight and cooler temperatures gets the best colour in succulent. I will let u know in sometime which succulent go dormant in which season 😊🙏🏻
Kiran Sunita i would suggest do it during winters .... usually summers are best as it’s the growing season of Echeveria but considering the heat I wouldn’t recommend 😥
