It took Serena 11 years to win a 2nd French Open Singles title but it was well worth the wait and dropped only 1 set on her way to winning the title her best performance on Red Clay

Serena gained just enough weight to lose in the '03 SF & the '16 F, but my were her '13 & '15 wins mightly impressive.

The fact that we’ll never get this again is mind blowing. When I tell you I can WATCH THIS ALL DAY! I LOVE this channel. This is definitely one of my favorite slam run of hers. That match against Kuznetsova still have me in a chokehold (knowing she was almost defeated but came back swinging was IMPRESSIVE)!

The aces against sSharapova at 5-4.
The speed in which she is rotating her body to create power on that serve.

Serena's performance in this tournament was superb especially in the last 2 rounds. It would be difficult for anyone woman to beat her on clay in this form even though clay is not her favorite surface. The only American player i can think of that loved playing on clay was Chris Evert, so the fact that Serena was able to adapt her game to win this competition 3 times is very impressive.

The other way to say that is she beat two GS finalists, a 2-time GS champion, and a 5-time GS champion to win the title, which is more impressive than what Justine Henin did in 2005 and 2006. And the only player of substance that Henin beat in 2007 was Serena herself. So if THIS was unimpressive to you, then arguably nobody has ever been "impressive". Besides Chris Evert, can you name the player (and season) where someone had a more impressive run on clay? I'll wait!
