Great video. Thanks! I just purchased one of these Buddy heaters. I plan to install it in a 24' box truck converted to an off-grid RV. The box truck has a propane system with a two-stage regulator that outputs 11" W.C. pressure for the RV propane/stove and tankless water heater. The system also has a branch connection for a heater. If I understand correctly, the Buddy integral regulator will open allowing unrestricted flow when connected to the 11" W.C. propane piping system. In other words, the integral regulator will not create a pressure drop restricting flow and the heater will perform at 100% of its rated output. Am I understanding correctly? Thanks for the help!
I have connected the heater to a regulated propane supply. In the video, the alternative low pressure solution is shown. I cannot officially recommend anything not documented in the manual.
The reason u have to use a inline filter on that rubber hose is because the hose leaches oil that will ruin the ceramic elements in the heater.. Mr heater sell’s a hose (part F273704 ) that will not leach oil and u don’t need the filter. This hose only comes in 10’ length unlike the other hoses that u can get in various lengths. This part will save you lots of money in filters an hassle installing them. Also Mr heater says change out the filter every year because there is no way to tell when the filter is saturated an if your filter gets saturated an start’s passing oil u won’t know. I live in Texas an use the heater infrequently so I don’t want to put a new filter on when I have no idea how many hrs I have on it.
Good comments. Thank you. The filter is required when the hose is subjected to high pressure. If you use a regulator at the tank, then the hose is not subjected to high pressure and it will not leach oils.

@@Linus007 you don’t understand. The hose with the part # I gave you dose not leak oil.
@@marksanders8028 I understand and am aware of the hose that you mention. I took a different approach in using a regulator.
