- What an amazing crazy time-telling object we had our chance to get our hands-on with the new URWERK UR-112, a timepiece that won't get unnoticed if you are lucky enough to have it on your wrist!
There is simply nothing standard with this watch, whether it concerns its look but also when it comes to the movement architecture, in particular how time information is "sent" to the time display module if we can say so.

URWERK is a personal favorite of the non-traditional branch in high-end watchmaking. However, I would be scared of knocking that hood off the top on a coat sleeve or pant if I were to forget to close it or it accidentally opens. Love it regardless. Thank you for sharing this with us! Urwerk is one brand I truly admire for always pushing the boundaries. Love the flip clock style indicators on this!

It's a departure from their original satellite system with definite MB&F vibes, but looks more wearable than their horological machines. Thanks for the presentation Marc.

I'm not sure I can relate to this as a watch. It's more a fusion of engineering and art. I also think it's such a shame to cover the seconds indicator with that hood. Kudos to Urwerk for creating this piece, though and thanks to Marc and his team for a fantastic video.

Sorry but it's too confusing! Can you really tell the time immediately without being distracted? If you have to move your head physically just to see; doesn't that make it awkward? You have to flip a hood to see information you should normally see instantly. That is a waste of energy, aswell as precious time expelled. The whole thing is a mess. Even if you have to hesitate for one second, that means the time piece has totally failed. I don't want a smart electricity metre on my wrist! Give me a cheap digital Casio from the 1970's or a Swatch, at least they do their jobs instantly.
