For my ear, The Kobs guitar had the slightly richer and slightly more pleasing tone when cords were emphasized during play. The other instruments seemed to shine when individual notes were being emphasized in performance. I note a more classical "antique" shape in the 2015 Damman instrument.
Surprising how similar these 3 guitars are. I think I would choose the Kobs first and the Dammann and Bruch as a close tie. All of them were slightly bass heavy - not that they weren't balanced pretty well but the bass seemed had more power on all three. I would choose a great solid top over any of these though.
All three are lovely, as is your playing. To my ear the Michel Brück is the perfect blend of stunning tonal power with warmth in both the balanced undertone & the upper strings. It presents the best starting point of the three for an instrument that will mature in the coming years as all woods limber with age. The new model from Carsten Kobs sounds crisp and forceful. But the soundboard needs playing time to limber. Give it time with practice calisthenics I'm sure it will blossom. As to the cedar, the tone, although nice won't mature over time as does spruce.
Beautifully done comparison. Dammann is strong in every way. The aggressive sound of the Brück was stunning. BTW. what strings are you using on these guitars? Are they the same on each guitar, or did you adjust per instrument? Thanks for this video. Fascinating!
Thank you for this comparison. It is very difficult to discern from this side but all are amazing. I'm curious, did they are have the same string? If so (or not), what strings did you use? Thank you.
They are all great. Difficult to say which one I like the most. I love them all. Having say that, I would choose Julian Dammann as the best. It's not fair that Julian Dammann is not a brand new 2023. I think the reason I like Julian Dammann the most is not because how it is built. It is probably because of the age. It is already grown for 8 years, and it makes difference. I'm sure other two guitars will grow greatly after 8 years from now. I may say and choose Michel Brück as the best one in 2031. lol
The Kobs and the Bruck are very similar. The Damann being cedar has a very different aesthetic and not my preferred sound. The Bruck sounds slightly more thee dimensional but that may be an illusion of the recording. All lovely instruments. Fun to watch and listen.
Double top guitars have lost the top and bottom of their sound spectrum, the sustain is not as long as solid top guitars. They also do not improve with age.
Has anyone heard that all guitars are out of tune? If I express myself correctly in English. Fret-false untemperated . Then what kind of music can we talk about?

They’re all good, but my favorite is the Carsten Kobs 2023, which has the richest sound (I listen to the video using a headphone)

I chose guitar n1, n3 and n2, in that order. I'm not a fan of DT guitars, but these are great builders without a doubt.

Agree on this! They are more similar to each other than we expected!
Thanks Jouyan, your beautiful and colourful playing is very helpful to distinguish how good guitars can sound
Kobs, Bruck, Dammann. I think your review of Kobs is on target.

Loved the blind test 👏🏼
I like the blind test! Please do it more often:)

Love the base of the Dammann. Is it true DT'S don’t improve with age? Never heard that before.
mery christmas and happy new year

much more demanding pieces need to be played before any guitar can be assessed. from the recordings, I think the Kobs is the best for classical sound.

Bruck sounds good to me.
with cell ph use a blue tooth external speaker for better sound quality...
Please let us know what are the corresponding guitars in the blind test
🦊 you find it in description as he said.
I wanna watch Vincent humml compare with these❤
Kobs for me... if I was forced to choose 😂

I agree, no soul !
Bruck

Why don't let someone else to play,u can't play
