oh hey, im racingace :) i made the platformers when I was 12 and they definitely haven’t aged well haha. just to clear my name a bit, the issue with sinking into the ground and lava hit boxes was caused by a big scratch update in 2020 and I haven’t had the heart to go back and fix it. was fun to see someone play it and great video overall! you gained a new subscriber :)

As a Scratch User myself, this was a really great delve into these games. You didn't treat Scratch like it was just total garbage, but you actually gave legitimate criticism to the games shown; both good and bad. All in all, this was a great video you made!
I agree with you. Some youtubers just say "sCrAtCh iS TrAsH" and end the video. But you, you make *constructive criticism* Some games are pure trash, but others are awesome. I subbed AND liked.

Yeah, it's annoying when that happens. I have a project with over 2000 views and most of the remixes don't even change anything. BTW, my project won best project in the sds, so there's a lot of little kids probably playing it
1:40, I was previously a scratcher, and did scratch all the time. Griffpatch is a god. 3D games are very impressive considering 2D limitations, it's funny how much he took it for granted. They made their own 3D engine from nothing, no openGL, no unreal engine. Just math.
Here's the thing, the "minecaft" game is literally a reskin of mario bros 1-1. When you pulled up the options (change jumps height), I immediately recognized it as will_wam's Super Mario Bros. remake, just reskinned.
i used to play this game because my school made me and i even made a game about Elsa for my little sister i highly recommend it and don't take it for granted because its EXTREAMLY HARD to make a game so i recommend it to new developers
What little experience I had with scratch was incredibly tedious I just don't like dragging blocks all over the place and making a mess plus it's incredibly frustrating to copy a single block as it copies everything beneath it

I like Scratch, in fact, it was my first programming language I worked on (my second one being Python). I actually made a scratch account in 2014 (my account is turning 8 years old in June). The only problem I have with Scratch is that it has a lot of limitations that kind of bother me, which could be fixed by creating custom blocks, but I was never good at making custom blocks in the first place.
You just earned a sub! Thank you for not just saying "Scratch is trash" like most youtubers do. You actually gave good criticism to scratch, keep up the videos!
The main issue I had with my Scratch experience is mostly my own fault. I kept forgetting my passwords and decided to make an entirely new account each time instead of resetting the password.
I think you should probably say that most of these games were made by children who are just trying to make games for the fun of it. Most Scratch games arnt really fun to play, but they were fun by the creators to make. And its impressive to see what many of the more knowledgeable members can make with Scratch, a really bare-bones and basic 2D engine meant for educational purposes.
I actually set the games on videos myself to add Easter eggs. I chose Minecraft Education Edition because some schools use Scratch as a way to introduce people to coding, and minecraft because minecraft.

The paper minecraft actually shows all blocks without just scrolling down in creative mode when minecraft actually have the scrolling thing. There's only one wool and glass in paper minecraft because paper minecraft was created before 1.12 minecraft update There's no end because the paper minecraft was created before 1.9 update There's also a gold crown that is hidden in dungeons (whatever you spell that again). You can't break the bedrock in any mode in paper minecraft when you can do that only in vanilla minecraft. The SMB version of minecraft is actually just remix of second most followed scratcher's game which is just super mario bros level 1-1 recreated in scratch. "MINEcraft" doesn't have shadows but it still counts "Not minecraft". I always never forgot a minecraft platformer with song that have my kingdom covered with "come".

The One game where you travel through the endless **BLUE LAND** is actually the original game. There is a feature called “Remix” on scratch which allows you to remake games and add your own coding. As when you remix the game you are remixing keeps the same coding but you can change it. So in general no there is no stolen games

the issue with the player being half into the ground in the platformers is just how scratch does touching checks (it only counts if they overlap, meaning for realistic collision you need to move the player out of the wall)

On Minecraft survival you forgot a glitch if you die, sometimes it won't let you respawn and you can still play in the death screen but your invincible so you can just get through all the levels while standing still
I found a glitch when playing Minecraft Survival for myself. After dying in easy mode i went to try out hardcode mode, but for some reason the "YOU DIED!" gui was still there when i started. The two button were even selectable but not useable, and most intrestingly it seems that it made me invincible; i couldnt actually die.
My friend Richard actually played paper Minecraft in our class. PS..he got full diamond armor a farm, house, mine, and pretty much beat paper Minecraft
cant express the frown on my face when i don’t realize that it’s a review video and I’m confused as to why the recorder isn’t actually doing anything. none of this feels like a critique, either. you just trick yourself into believing that a good 40 seconds at the end to say “Nooo It’s Okay!!” compensates for the mundane stream of insults and ‘balances’ it out into a critique.
scratch is where i made my childhood, it was so calm and peaceful where nobody really started fights as frequently as they do today. now, scratch has become another furry overrun site with a few(too many) parkour games with multiplayer which are just reskins of each other. yeah so scratch is bad now bye

Starting with scratch is okay. It teaches you the basics of code. Connecting the blocks is like typing a line of code.

No, people can backpack the code/sprites from original games and post it as their own, and sometimes don’t change any code when remixing
