My theory is that since he has to run at half capacity, he’s afraid that he’ll stall on the bridge, but when he’s full he thinks that he won’t have issue with the bridge.
This is really cool! It's nice to see a more RWS canon accurate version of the W&S engines. As much as I like Colin, Adam, and Lilly that other people tend to use in their stories, I think this is much more interesting.
It’s tied to the amount of coal and water he has. When his tanks and bunker are full, he’s full of confidence and very cocky; when he has to run at “half-capacity,” he becomes timid and nervous.
Horace’s confidence/ego seems to be tied to how much coal and water he has. When full, he’s boastful and swaggers around. At half capacity, he’s anxious and worries about fulfilling his duties. I wouldn’t call it a different personality, more like he’s bipolar; swinging between haughtiness and timidity rather easily.
@@TheBuriedTruck So when he gets rebuilt, he loses his "mediator" personality and goes back to the whole arrogant big engine personality? Or does he keep his "half-capacity" character trait?
hows any of this Horace's fualt?? whys he being punished for something he cant control?? like they should of upgraded the rails to actually hold his weight
The railway didn’t know he’d be too much, partly because this is the late 1800s. Hardly anyone knew exactly what engines and railways needed to run properly. Plus, what would be cheaper? Ripping up all the rails to make them stronger, closing the railway in the process, or modifying the engine that caused said faults?
@@paytonburrows2325 i get your point but its still not good nor correct that he was being treated poorly for something out of his control. also you cant modify locos to be lighter if they are bigger
@@matthewwilson5019 1) Yes you can modify them, the particular basis that Horace has will later have its side tanks removed and given a tender, a longer surface area to evenly distribute the weight. 2) Don’t take the Billy cameo seriously. He hasn’t said a word and he’s just an Easter egg really.
@@matthewwilson5019 Billy and Charlie are meant to be the same class as Walter and Winnie, although the Trainz models don't do a very good job at showing that.

It's a very nice theory, but I think (Personally) he has MPD, which is caused by his coal.
So, Billy and Charlie are contractor engines. nice
Horace sure does pack a punch. Lovely story.
Using C-3PO shouting “over here” from “Star Wars: A New Hope” as Winnie approaches the bridge was a nice touch.
REALLY first Charlie now billy 😮 crikey that's crazy😮
Dude how do you make these videos so good plus the music choice is amazing

Around Christmas at the earliest is the idea, but life is unpredictable, and depending on how things go, it might be pushed into the new year.
