- One Control Purple Plexifier demo
Here I take a look at the Purple Plexifier by One Control. This is a small pedal which is good for the pedalboard, but does it sound any good? Have a look to find out.

"You can go suck a turd" Hahaha! that caught me completely off guard. 10/10 for delivery, well done.
Love the videos! Thanks for posting!! 😎🤘🏻
Nice review Elmo. I thought it was darkish too, but it may work with a trebly amp like you say. As always, your reviews are fun to watch.
Thanks Dave.
I Enjoyed this Elmo, I use the EVH Overdrive Myself, Also a California Overdrive which is Boogie Clean, This is the First I have heard of the Plexi! I use an EVH 50 watt Combo and Boss Katana in Stereo, But I Have Roland Jazz Chorus and a Cube 40X for Clean or Country Rock Sound, Also have a Small Orange and a 30 watt Peavey Backstage, and a Couple Behringer 60-watt Amps for Small Venues. I also have a Zoom to Run Direct to the Front House. So Many Sounds Out There, But I like Your Sound and Your Music! Keep Up the Good Work!
Thanks David :)
@@MrPolevaulter You Carry on a Tradition of Excellent Scandinavian Guitarists!
Honestly, that tone reminded me more of a Les Paul. Especially when you hit the notes in Still In Love With You.
A bit yeah.
It’d be nice to have on tap when you need THAT LP sound at a cover gig. But it sounds alright.
I have a (very old early 1980's) Custom Sound Cub 30 valve amp (a farting and snarling beast that crackles and pops all the time) that I think this would be perfect for - it has it's own pallet of sounds but adding a Plexi(fier) type sound would be an excellent addition and this sounds like it would do the job well.
Yeah, it's probably better for a clean amp.
Catching up ..
That treble knob did very little. That's frustrating..
good stuff
Thanks :)
I am at a computer with no buds or heaphones so I cannot hear this video right now, but I will, and I would bet that that pedal is excellent and why do I say that? Because I own a 3 knob Bearfoot model H Hiwatt in a box and it is designed by Bjorn the same guy that designed the Purple Plexifier, and it is an absolute killer of a pedal. Designs by this designer are generally awesome and some are legendary.
Ok.
Thanks for the video and honest review. Heads up to other potential buyers, I got one used and the plastic on the trim pot was all corroded and I can't turn it. Pedal sounds decent but definitely pretty poor quality for a $100 pedal.
Thanks for the info!
its close to the fender yjm pedal but a little to dark. with humbucking pick ups it would be way to dark
Probably.
Did you hear about the Dutch man that left one of these pedals on a flight out of Budapest and Security didn't know what the hell it was so they decided to evacuate the airport and send in the purple plexi bomb 💣 squad . ? Ha ha .
Haha :D
Please review Lovepedal’s Purple Plexi!
Maybe at some point. Problem is I have a ton of reviews already done, so it will be a while.
You live in Helsinki🤔Metallica was there May 28, 2014👍🎸Anyway, English is my 6th Lanuage learning was tongue twister not anymore as Native American 🥁😁🎃🎸🤘
You must have just watched the frayed ends of sanity video that was in Helsinki.
@@srh361 yes! 🎃🎸👍🤘not really Metallica fan, just early LP's😁
I actually live in Turku, but it's only 2 hours from Helsinki.
If a Strat though a Marshall 1987x Superlead using Celestion Greenbacks/G12-H30"s?........... Isn't a bright enough platform for that Purple Plexifier pedal.......then I'm not even interested in what would be.......lol. Great demo, thanks.
Thanks!
I saw a video a UA-camr that goes by Groovy Music Scott Grove....he has proven that tone wood is false..he had a strat style guitar made completely (ncluding the neck) out of clear plexiglass...he had lace sensor single coil pups...I would never lie..the guitar sounded just like any wood constructed strat guitar..proving that it's the pickups that made the tonal difference....I have a fender strat came with 3 single coil pups...I put a seymour duncan hot rail in the bridge and a seymour duncan little 59 for the neck pup..never like the sound of the hotrail on this strat..,so I put a full size humbucker and it's sounds amazing now...so I know that it's the pups...in fact when I put the original pups that came with the srrat..that sounded good...
Having tried different guitars with different woods I can definitely say that wood makes a difference. Mahogany sounds different to alder. The biggest difference might be pickups, but wood does make a difference too.
Ever play a Gibson in your demos? Specifically a Flying V? Ever demo'd a Blackstar HT Stage 100? Interesting post as usual, but the pedal is not for me though.
Thanks!
I haven't, no. I'm more of a Strat guy. I did review the Blackstar HT-5, but I wasn't too impressed by it, sorry to say.
Nice pedal ya made it a brighter play yeah I liked but then again I come here 4 the music which is sweet gracious n geewiz jus ignore bad comments/ ur on top son/😃 goodaccent /a share
Thank you :)
i thought the pedal would only have control on it
:D
Could you do a video on the EH soul food pedal?
Already done.

@@MrPolevaulter Thank friend!
Plexiflying av plexi. Scooping the mids. Getting ass kicked over accent, I presume? Well. That last thing is simply icing on the cake, as accents are awesome and cool. Don´t get me started on the lack of dialects in Sweden though. I see how this is an average "sciency" day in the life of Elmo Do you even djent Karjalainen.
:D
Are you trying to "Plexify" a "Plexi"???
Yeah :D More is more :D
It's not your surname, it's your last name and it's not that bad! To me the Plexifier sounds too round without any attack going on.
Isn't surname the same as last name?
@@MrPolevaulter haha yes :)
Your a much better rythum guitarist than Y..M.. who is a terrible rythum guitarist, he does have problem writing anything new after his first two albums...that why he uses a keyboard player,, look at Van Halen, he was a great rythum guitarist and a fantastic lead guitarist...
