Objection! The Caldari didnt "develop" Capsule tech. they were gifted it by the Jovian Empire.
This is correct
K, but it’s not like they weren’t advanced enough to invent it anyway.
@@midgetydeath they weren't
@@midgetydeath definitely weren’t
@@Jeff55369 doubt it
The Avatar being phallic does make sense in lore given the Amarr are huge pricks
Oh yeah. Too bad even a slave in amarr empire lives a better lifd if he can behave than any gallente toothpaste degenerate. Amarr victor. Z.
Eve's space civillizations are very well balanced among all of their factions. The ships retain their unique doctrine but also can match their rival factions allowing many combos.
You forgot to mention that Minmatar ships have a hidden 1% chance of falling apart upon undocking from a station.
Wait WHAT!?
stop undocking with 0 hull after removing hull expansion mods.
@@ZYK736521 it's a joke because minmatar ships are rust buckets
@@HalIOfFamer In rust we trust.
You wouldn't say that to a Minmatar pilot, male or female 🙂
Watching eve videos makes me remember the good days. 2005-2015
thats more like years
I am quite fond of Sisters of Eve ships. The deserve a mention, at least.
Also, New Eden is now a thing, the counter to Triglavians, and as such should also be in there... ;)
I think he meant Edencom
Love my SoE ships, Astero and Stratios. I fly the Strat as a shield buffer and haven't lost it for over 9 moths now. The new Mutated drones help out a lot as well.
Thank you bud, I really wanted someone's opinion on the Triglavian ships. Considering returning and how best to have fun
The triglavian ships are great, but very expensive. Now is a great time to return.
@@RenlangRen I did!
EVE is a game that I love with all my heart, but 3 years ago me and some friends who played together in a small corporation simply couldn't play anymore because another group much stronger and numerous, the initiative, expelled us from our system and the alliance that we were a part of didn't help us because we were mostly players who could only spend a little time online a day. after all in brazil we lost a lot of our day because of work and the commute to and from it and after 5 years of playing these 4 we spent in goonswarm we had to stop because it was more a game to be frustrated than to have fun at occasion. but I still follow the events of the game and I think it's really cool to watch some streams on twitch.
Yep.
I played for the better part of the first ten years, building up to a vast T2 production corporation run by one person. I had (have, I guess) over two dozen T2 blueprint originals.
But it stopped being a game and became a job and then an absolute chore logging in every day to keep the production and market going.
Walked away ten years ago, and haven't looked back since. Now I guess my characters would be 'chump average' at best.
@@amzarnacht6710 I have no idea if you will see this but holy crap 👀. You walked away a while ago but they stopped making T2 Blueprint originals, only t2 copies unless you had one. I will pay you in actual cash for that 😂 seriously 😳 . Hope you’re doing great though and message me if you see this!
@@amzarnacht6710 still have those T2 originals lying around?
@@thatdude1435 Yup.
And no way to access them. All of those PWs went the way of the dodo a decade ago.
@@amzarnacht6710 damn, what a shame!
EVE ships are quite impressive even compared to the likes of Warhammer 40K (at least, for anyone who bothers reading lore about 40K ships instead of their imaginations). But, while many things in sci-fi would still outmatch analogous EVE ships pretty frequently, nothing can rival the power of EVE fleets. Their mutual strengthening of their fellows and weakening of their enemies makes them, as militaries, among the strongest factions in science fiction. Especially when something comes along forcing the factions of New Eden to work together.
Mind you, what we normally see are capsuleer fleets. The five empires have vastly larger fleets that don't often make an appearance.
@@DarkVeghetta Are all ships in the universe piloted by one man, or do the empires have crewed ships? (I'm new to the game)
@@leorodrigues7368 All ships are crewed, except that capsuleer vessels have a more direct input system, linked via a synaptic 'ombilical cord' to the capsuleer, who floats within the amniotic-like fluid of their capsule, at the heart of the ship. This closer integration with the ship's systems allows us to pilot and use the ship's weapon systems/drones more effectively than normal humans could.
However, within the lore, it is stated that even our vessels have crews, but they're never really mentioned in-game and are not represented with any stats. Yes, this also means they likely die when our ships explode... which happens fairly frequently (unless escape pods exist, which I'm not sure they do, as they're certainly not modeled within the game). The old lore stated that they're very well paid and their families get recompensed in the event of their death.
That said, I haven't read anything regarding such matters in a decade, so it's possible the lore might have changed in that time and more automation could be present, especially on the newer vessels.
@@DarkVeghetta Oh thanks for the info! I really need to dive into the lore, there seems to be a looot of interesting ideas in this game. Even the Logistic (remote healing and stuf...) already makes it more interesting than most "space battle universes".
@@leorodrigues7368 That's not even getting into the fun one can have when flying a small speed/signature-tanked frigate vs. a battleship that can theoretically one-shot you, but very very likely won't hit you for a long time (or so I've heard from pvp-ers), since it's guns are about the size of your ship and can't outpace your movement... unless it has missiles/drones/AoE, then it probably can.
Personally, I'm more of an industrialist, merchant, miner, and space-trucker - I enjoy mining some of the base ore I need (since I stick to high-sec, I absolutely need to buy the minerals that can only be found in low/null-sec), refining those into minerals (separate skills required at specialized facilities), hauling them to where such processes require, and then building a range of modules and ammo that I yet again haul to various ports I've decided to sell from for fairly good profit margins (on principle, I never sell items that won't make more ISK then their constituent parts).
I also do some exploration, fiting theorycrafting, anomaly pve, salvaging, and even some Project Discovery (that's basically real-world science done via EvE pilots, because human pattern recognition is still vastly superior to most supercomputers, nevermind cheaper and faster).
EvE has a LOT to offer - in 12 years, I still haven't personally experience everything (granted, I've only actively played for ~4 of those years).
If you do give EvE a spin, I wish you the best of luck and don't be shy to ask others if you get stuck on something - there's an entire channel dedicated to helping out newbros, nevermind more than a few well-organized player-owned corporations that might even offer a free basic-fit ship or two to new players.
Cheers from Romania!
How to choose your race in Eve - step 1: pick Caldari lol.
YEAH MORE SHIP VIDEOS I LOVE YOUR CONTENT
Good video, Max! You always bring nice content and polish to the eve youtube scene.
Now bring that quality by Oueletta some time... Stay Frosty!
I’m new to EO. Thanks for the info!
Laughs in Praxis and gnosis
When I first started playing eve, I chose Amarr simply because I wanted "frickin laser beams" lol
I just wanted to fight for the empire lol (with friggin laZer beamz)
You just know I named all my tier 1 frigates stuff like “emperors talon” and “Centurions shield”
I started Minny... fuckin cannons, yo!
Specced out in all races subcapital class and had every ship below capital, including some extremely rare ones. Still have them, somewhere, collecting dust in a hangar.
I din know why I started Caldari, probably cause I saw missile, or maybe it’s my affinity for industrial and efficient looking ships.
Caldari master race 😂
Amazing content, hello from discord! Loved it! “You got yourself a new sub!” Comment for the algorithm!
While the Gallente Federation has a dark past at a certain point in time (i.e. the tensions, and other problems, that resulted in the Gallente-Caldari War) and flaws still persistent to this day in EVE, same with the other empires (all are grey rather than black or white in terms of morality), they're still popular as they're at least a democracy, even if flawed, with rights to the people and live how you want to live your life. They're basically the combination of all Western democratic nations on Earth. While the "righteous libertarian crusaders" does have some merit, I would think of the Gallente as a friendly, sociable, and outgoing person who's also known to be a hedonist and a nudist, but under that pleasurable persona is the same person with OCD and anger management issues that can make your life a living hell. But this doesn't compromise your relationship, or even friendship, with that person because you've been warned about the latter and been given a list by them on how to handle it.
For the Minmatar Republic, the Minmatar Rebellion wasn't just overthrowing the Amarrian oppressors, although that was one of the contributing factors, but rather the unfair trial and death of Arzad Hamri: a Amarrian Holder. He was benevolent to the Minmatar slaves of Starkmanir Prime, even working with them in his past, going so far as giving them days of rest and solace, called the Hand of Solace, and other good deeds. He'd even set up education centers to naturally ingrain the Minmatar slaves into Amarr society. With his growing popularity and fame, the Theology Council saw this as a threat to their power and ordered for his trail and execution, both have succeeded. This greatly angered the slaves, so much so one of them murdered Arkon Ardishapur, an Amarrian who became Starkmanir Prime's new Holder, out of loyalty for Arzad which lit the match for the rebellion.
gallente is weird. full of lefties
The Gallente still actively crusade to “liberate” soverign peoples. Their idea of freedom is “freedom to join the Gallente”. And they’re not a democracy anymore than the US is, they’re a representative republic. That said, such things and democracy itself are overrated. It isn’t magically better than any other governing system. Especially since it invariably devolved into mob mentality voting and the politicians lining their pockets without any care for their citizens and even outright betraying them to their national enemies. I’ll take a hardcore meritocracy like the Caldari or a stable monarchy and aristocracy like the Amarr any day.
@@midgetydeath I was planning a rebuttal, but with the Gallente's recent invasion of Intaki Prime and increasing tensions between them and the Caldari State which could possibly spark a second Gallente-Caldari War, you're right.
And not gonna lie, when I started playing Eve Online for the second time, the first faction I chose was the Caldari State for their honor, family, cooperative mentality despite being hypercapitalists, meritocracy, and keeping to themselves.
I had to replay the end. I wasnt expecting the bloopers lol
Great video. I just got back in. Think I'll grind some missions to get my feet wet again.
Agreed. I fly Precursor and Gallente ships primarily.
very good video! subbed
missiles/caldari are my preffered ships because missiles cannot be tracking disrupted, have long range and pretty much always guaranteed to hit and also do great damage. also, mid slots are great for all kinds of uses. shield tanking results in a faster ship than armor tanking because armor plates are heavy.
there is anti missile ewar now.
True but u have to worry bout speed n sig tanking
Thank you.
15:00 minmatar are the junker fleet.
Lol after every game iteration, or chapter released the minmatar vessels get more and more armor plating. Typhoon used to look like Oscar the Grouches literal trash can back before the graphics engine update forced into eve around 2010ish, or earlier. Can't remember exactly. Had to upgrade my computer just for that, until then it worked fine on my trashcan of a pc. Was honestly hoping they'd go for more story telling/engaging events/more space/more npc vs npc interactions over graphics improvements. Hopefully they have enough data on player interactions, markets, fleet combat tactics etc to replicate some interesting npc/bot architecture into eve 2 online or something, since imo CCP is one of the best companies out their and shouldn't stop.
Eve 2?
OMFG no!
Excellent.
Can you please do the Space Battleship Yamato (From Space Battleship Yamato 2199) Vs the NX-01 Enterprise (Whit its refit in show)?
No edencom mention :( the space shamans with their chain lightning
i am still waiting for triglavian combat drones ^^
Lore wise... The Caldari struck first. The capsule tech was given to them from the Jove.
Justified attack.
There's a 6th race you didn't mention. The Jovians.
Unless your name is CCP *** you don't get that
Jovians are the 5th race, sleepers are the 6th and the Trig are the 7th. we just don't have any player flyable ships from Jovians (exception being the SoCT ships, I don't consider these pure Jovian. But Developers describe them as Jovian so what do I know.) or from the sleepers.
Developers used to actually have Jovian character portraits, Because the developers were the Jovians but they seem to have moved away from that pretty early on.
@@Tuttomenui there have been some Jovian ships in player's hands, but they were limited edition, so not very wide spread. eve-files.com/media/0605/eidolon1.jpg
Galente have the most phallic ship aka the Thorax... And it just wants to be up and close in your face with it's blasters.
Amarr got a Magic Wand though
Former logi pilot: did you say there is entire ship line that deals damage and reps? *Swoons*
correct, and their dedicated logi is quite good.
The Rupture Cruiser looks like a Jawa warship
Wait till you see their Fenrir jump freighter.
Hey man, can you do an update on the Triglavian stuff?
Anyone else notice the irony that the Gallente have a veneer of personal liberty but are actually kinda like Space China whereas the Caldari are an inversion in that they have a veneer of cyberpunk dystopia but they actually enjoy significant personal liberty?
Absolutely! Nailed it bro
Out of the 4 races, (not counting Triglavian of course) and from this video alone, chances are that I will prefer Amarr ships the most.
'cause when in combat, I'm more likely to go for Support roles, (with more emphasis on EWAR) so the damage type restrictions should be less of an issue... or rather, less relevant.
With Minmatar coming in 2nd.
Support role, huh? Good one to go with Amarr.
They got Guardian, the ultimate healer in the game. If you can fly it, people will always ask you whether you online or not.
@@snails6997 Well, as I was doing some "research", I noticed that in the end, this game may not be for me, 'cause outside of combat, I'm likely to prefer... basically any Industry Career *except* Cargo Hauling and/or Mining, as they appear too monotonous.
BUT, I've also read that I will be needing an Alt account for most of them. Which is a "No thank you" for me.
@@ARWINGx1 Hah, yeah. alt accounts. I had two omega accounts with full planetary stuff and industrial skills for passives incomes, and another 4 alpha account for wormhole seeding. Then one completely detached account for corp espionage.
But, now I let those min maxing goes down. Im just sitting in coms with my cheap Brutix ready to brawl. while chatting with people about war and inflation while getting drunk.
The day of me getting too serious in an online game for me already gone. Now I'm chatting with my friend there and having fun.
This game actually is a medium to socializing. while doing some pew pew with lasers.
thanks!
The difference is that Gallente look like if xenomorphs had ships and Caldari stuff looks Forerunner.
It's quite curious because altough It does not seems to, being human factions they are one of the most advanced of the Sci-Fi escalating to the level of the Forerunner
never thought id hear gal ships look like turds now I cant unsee it
"...something lurking in your toilet..."
Never thought I'd hear HD CG spacecraft described that way.
What about the jove ships?
Great video but what about Drifter ships?
How can you play that music for Minmatar and NOT have a Tempest >_
'Most of the caldari players are fanatical about their ships' lol i can confirm that as a caldari player
Good vid, but you did forget the Jovians
The Amarr lore, Ammatar, and the Minmatar even being able to build fleets and armies and giant space stations without the Amarr squishing them always made me extremely suspicious about their lore. It does not at all jive with what they have and what we see.
That's because any war against the Minmatar means war against the Gallente as well and Minmatar being weakest is relative and would still be extremely costly. Basically the Amar could beat the Minmatar alone but it would cost a lot of lives and material and the Gallente would likely counter invade the Amar
Also, the Jove interfered to aid the Minmatar several times as well. They had a LOT of help pushing back the Amarr, but this is downplayed because it kind of got the Jove into diplomatic hot water.
Can we play as Triglavians? Like can I make a character from that race?
You mean Amarr is the best faction. Period.
t. unbiased Avatar pilot
Sad Jove noises
I miss the winmatar gyrostab tank.
Thing about EvE is the "factions" simply don't matter. The difference between piloting an Amar Ship from a Caldari Ship is pretty much do you want a car from Ford, or BMW?
Having one doesn't tie you to one side.
Gamur love :)
9:02 eh....this is debatable
cause Cruise Missiles and Torpedos exist. and rival if not exceed artillery
There is now 7 total races in eve by counting sleepers and Triglavians.
Amarr
Gallente
Caldari
Minmatar
Jovian
Sleepers
Triglavians
I think you mean Drifters, not Sleepers. The Sleepers are long gone, only their drones remain in wormhole space.
What about the Jove???
always found it sad that railgun models are clearly caldari designs.. means the ONE turret that's truely gallente is blasters and nothing else (while caldari get railguns and missiles to their names, and the other factions each have their own signature weapon type)
meaning if you wanna play true gallente... its either drones or a knife fight
I think Amarr ships are the best looking in the game, but lasers are just to situational. I do find Gall ships to be quite versatile and my go too. Missiles are more of a miss in my books. I just don't enjoy using them. Minmatar ships are situational. Sometimes they are great. Sometimes I wish I was just in my Gallente Ship. Gall ships just fit like a nice pair of genes. They just work.
I thought Jove was the 5th race
Poor EDENCOM, not even a real race :'(
Oh yeah...lol that.
Why should pirates ships be restricted to low sec status? That's like saying that you're not able to use your car that you bought and made (legal) modification to, seeing as some pirate ships are just modified hulls of empire ships XD. Going by that logic you shouldn't be able to use any faction ships unless you have good standing with that faction, which runs counter to the fact that for non-empire ships since you need to fight them to get their ships bpc. While lore-wise it would make sense that people would be give you a second glance for using a ship know to be used by pirates, I don't think most people would care as long as you're not working against them, capsuleers are basically mercenaries anyways aren't they?
Also I like EDENCOM was just ignored XD. (I'll like to also point out that I basically know nothing about the lore, so maybe I'm just an uneducated swine)
The amount of times that the word "Phallic" is used in this video is TOO DAMN HIGH!!!
Can I bring my Drake?
What was the music used?

Sounds fun am joining once I upgrade from noob since then ur my coach
Uhh 6? Edencom , triglav, main 4?
Actually, it’s 7…the 5th race shouldn’t be accredited to Triglavians, it should be credited to the Jovians…who make superbly well rounded ships.
@@thedudeabides3138 True but when you think playable Jovian does not come to mind right away normally

Amarr: Catholic church with guns
Gallente: Alt-left US

Some of them look really good. Most of them look like total shit.
.
None of them are actually good space vessels at all, let alone for their respective roles. Yeah, their stats are ok, but their performance and their appearance and the actual realities of space...are all completely disconnected. They just have absolutely nothing to do with each other in that game (or in any other space story/game).
Ahhh go home, ye moany git ye!
Sure. If they were not more advanced in space technologies than modern Earth. Which they are. So…you’re just kinda really dumb.
i think this is racist
thats racist
minmitar seems to be the best for a new player as it lets you try different builds. i remember i settled on minmitar heavy minigun on dust 514 bcuz it was the fastest running heavy. i think ill go for this ship type first. put something in the title saying "ship slot types" or slot amounts or somthing to tell me this video speaks on the abilities faction ships accell at.
