All I really want is full frame 60p no crop, fast sensor readout speed & perhaps internal raw. Maybe a stacked sensor? Hopefully they keep the OLPF aswell. The S1H is their flagship video product so I expect a FF version of the GH7.
As a long time Panasonic shooter, I am pleased to see the recent developments from them. The GH7 is more camera than I would have thought possible with the MF3 format. I enjoy my "vintage" GH5, and "getting long in the tooth" S1H, but I am very curious to see what the next generation S1H will be. I would like to see some kind of SDI output, or at least a much, much faster HDMI output to aid AC focus pullers and on-camera monitor read out. The HDMI lag has always bugged me on Panasonic cameras. As a former Sony FS5 shooter, I am surprised that more cameras don't implement an electronic variable ND filter. That was such a great feature on the FS5, and I expected to see it become common place. Maybe the eND will be a feature for a future box camera. Time will tell. BTW, thanks for keeping a close eye on your kiddo!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏾 The SDI would be a super cool addition, but they will need to make basically a cinema camera to have HDMI and SDI, so I don’t think they will do that but ir would be cool for sure 🤯 I agree, the HDMI need to be on point, because it is not great, but at least it gives us BRaw 🥲 The eND would be a more than a welcome implementation, I hope that they do it for real 🙌🏾
I just hope that lumix makes a low-megapixel camera to compete with the a7siii, it can't be that that camera came out 4 years ago and today it still has no competition, I think s1ii should be like the z6iii, stacked sensor and 6k 60fps iso native 4000, and the s1hii 4k 120 iso native 12,800, but it all depends on whether Sony is willing to sell its star sensor to lumix, Panasonic would be a beast if it didn't depend on Sony's sensors
This could be a good idea, but I think: 1. The low megapixels count camera wouldn’t work anymore, as you said Sony has created it already 4 years ago. They need to keep their 6k sensor, because personally we need that, with only true 4k, it would be going backwards; many are wishing for more from the eventual S7IV, so yeah I don’t think it would work. 2. 12,800, it is really not needed, 4000, has been the best middle ground for me. The 12,800 it is crazy cool but many Sony users, have did it, that it is too much, and they find their self using NDs most of the time, because the Kip from 800 to 12,800 is too much. 3. Let’s see what they will do, but I would keep the 24mpx, stack it, and BSI, and they will for sure have room for a high frame rate recordings modes, and keep the 3:2 6K. But we will see, thanks for sharing your opinion ✌🏾
What about a mark ii of the Lumix S1? That camera is 5 years old now. To me it would make sense to do an S1 Mark ii (full frame no crop in 4k 50/60 fps) and then produce the S1H Mark ii as a cinema powerhouse (possibly including ND filters), SDI, time code and other cinema goodness.
At the moment LUMIX need a high megapixels camera and a powerhouse video focused camera, the S1, is a bit too in the middle for them at the moment to focus on that one. But they might, no clue. But in my opinion it is not what they need right now, especially after the Nikon z6III launch. If they do realise it tho, they they will need to go after the Z6III, with it couldn’t be a bad idea. But as for now I think they are concentrating on the other 2.
@@samuelboatengyt Bro. The S1H is cinema camera money. To compete with the Nikon Z6 III they need a $2500 hybrid camera that has good video specs and no crop. To me that’s exactly what the S1 mark ii will do for them. But I’m with you, I don’t know what they’re going to do. Hopefully they will knock it out the park soon. I love my S5. Mark iis. they would be the perfect camera if there was no crop in 4K 60.
@@justesmond yeah I meat the S1II, if they create it then would be only to compete against the Z6III. While yeah the S1HII is going to compete against basically cinema cameras I guess and hope
open 6k 60 fps , 4k 120 fps and slow mo 240 fps 1080 thattttttt it this is all I need haahhahahahh and internal nd filter willlll be wooooooooooow. you daughter will be a future youtuber for sureeeeeee✨✨✨✨

Exactly. Me too. Can live without ProRes Raw though. I wish they’d develop their own RAW format.
