Crust skiing in Sweden

- During the night temperatures are around -8 degrees C. During the day it's just above zero. This cycle of freezing at night and thawing during the day results in crust forming on top of the snow. Early morning provides perfect skiing conditions. We went to the swamps close to our house for some crust skiing. Just magical!

Yes yes yes! Life is very good here :). Maybe we should start looking for a house to stay here
WeLeaf Good choice 👍👍👍. Breathtaking landscapes!!!❤️
Quite nice 👍😊
Just got my last ski in this week on the crust snow on our lake. Got to ski where I never could all year. Went a bit too late in the day though and by the time I was heading back it was too warm and I was breaking through.
Ooh too bad! But good that you went skiing :)! We had to go very early as well because after 10am temperatures were already above zero. It's so beautiful that you can get to places that are inaccessible the rest of the year. Winter is perfect!
Yes! LOVE crust skiing! So fun to skate places you normally can't!
It was the first time for us :)! A friend from the US showed us a video last year when he was crust skiing. We are happy that we had the opportunity to try it now, so beautiful! The skis and boots we have are old style classic skis (they are part of the house where we stay), so not perfect for skating, but still fun :)
Yeah, me too. Usually get one or two weeks of it here in Ontario, Canada, every late winter.
Beautiful! Looks like so much fun!
It is! We experienced so many types of snow this winter, all of them making skiing very different :)
Stunning.
It's probably only a few days in the year that we are able to do this, but yes, stunning on those days :)
Looks amazing!
It's so beautiful here! Denmark was a good introduction to Scandinavia and the Scandinavian culture, but I think we found our place to live :)
@@WeLeaf That's great! For your lifestyle and activities Northern Scandinavia is definitely the better option :) Hope to visit you up there one day!
@@brianschferdreyer3729 Yes! Would be a great place to meet again :)
