One course you definitely need to run is how to install down lights, it seems every job I go to, people can't fit them correctly, they are poorly terminated, cpc's cut off, incorrect enclosure used etc etc
@@thomasnagy I think for a long time downlights were very poorly designed where as new ones like the JCC Fireguard are very well designed and extremely easy to install

Connecting two T&Es properly was never intended, therefore quite tricky and most people couldn't be bothered to put in the extra effort to fight the bad design (bad as in not fit for the most common purpose).

I spent all day using every drill in the yard drilling holes in a sheet of steel and returned the next day to the site with the holes, Last prank he played and fortunately he saw the funny side. @@rapidsendit tax return time isn't it. using the banks' money not your own is great until you can't pay them back, so they do stuff to recoup their losses by repossessing vehicles, stripping your unit and returning it to the landlord... can't make payroll so your staff leave in a hurry, with whatever they can carry. i'm sure he'll be back at it soon enough though with an a buyer or administrator who can manage overheads and stop him wasting money on electric scooters go karts sofas chairs kitchen supplies gym equipment brand new vehicles fancy branding new website etc

I had a peek and it is a three plate lighting circuit, so I have no neutral at the switch, but I have two live and two switch live. I was wondering if I could change one of the live to Neutral at the Pendant and use the other live to share between the two switched live. What is your professional opinion?

@@rapidsendit Seems like they did stay, he mentioned they did some filming the previous day. Based upon his financial videos, it was evident that the claims people suspected weren’t likely anyway as he wasn’t leveraged out to the point he could lose everything anyway. I think he is just doing a full turnaround and focusing on one thing now and cutting down on spending. Obviously most of what he had wasn’t totally necessary anyway but he still wants a yard/building so I guess he sees that as important to his operations.

So don't worry he's still about and very active. If I can guess...he likes to go off the radar every once and a while to judge and assess the demand for him and his content then he returns as if nothing has happened with ego sufficiently boosted. You don't get in to you tube etc unless you are a bit up yourself. Tom is a good guy but he certainly falls in to this category. Definitely a bit of an ego there and hence he'll be back to get his fix.

just about every EICR we do fails on that too. most commonly its not terminated correctly i find

...He presents a radio slot every Thursday at 2pm(?), Station is called...FixRadio (including this Thursday just passed). So don't worry he's still about and very active. If I can guess...he likes to go off the radar every once and a while to judge and assess the demand for him and his content then he returns as if nothing has happened with ego sufficiently boosted.
You don't get in to you tube etc unless you are a bit up yourself. Tom is a good guy but he certainly falls in to this category. Definitely a bit of an ego there and hence he'll be back to get his fix.
Might it have been recorded earlier? and why is his unit up for rent?
@@tonipeters4543 Who knows, my only guess would be that he’s realised having that big of a unit & the outlay of bills, for only 3 sparks was going to be a massive financial risk somewhere down the line.

I imagine he goes in one day every six weeks and records six episodes (or something like that). Way more cost effective for the station.

He's gone, the lights are out in the unit, all the signage and lights on the unit have been taken down, 3 vans parked out the front two with the signwriting removed. The place is dead.
