Thank you for your video. My JZX81 Cresta has been having intermittent idle surge that has switched to poor cold starts just recently. I took the ECU out and there it was, a couple leaky capacitors. Now to learn the soldering basics before repairing it myself.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
Oh dear. You do not buy low end cheapo noname electros - in kit boxes as shown rated for 1000 hours tops. Try to buy original quality Japanese brands with 105 degree rating LOW ESR. Use leaded solder to repair - it does not get cold cracked joints.
@@chetmyers7041 tried to send it to a computer repair shop and they said they didn't want to touch it because they can't recommend it will fix the issue so I'm going to send it to a specialist
Hi there. I'm from Malaysia and I drive a 2010 Kia Forte 1.6. My car is stuck in 3rd gear and it bangs into reverse. A local workshop concluded that the ECU is at fault. I couriered the ECU to a specialist and they called me to say that the capacitors were leaking and they had replaced it. When I received and reinstalled the ECU I was frustrated that the problems were still there and 2 additional problems cropped up : No AC and the traction control off light was on! What could be the problem?
Paul Adams The stock wiring harness was to short to put it in the car. When I go stand-alone And after market harness I will definitely put it in the car.

Agree. I drove the car 3 years like that though. And now some one else is using it. Still going.
Great video btw

You’re gonna fry those electrics eventually...that’s not designed to be outside of the cabin.
