Why does everyone gloss over the connections to the motherboard. Please show where these small connectors are suppose to got rather than say “connect to motherboard” that does not help.
Usually there is a pin port near the CPU block. Look around the CPU socket for a connector that says C Fan, CPU F, CPU Fan. Also use your motherboard manual aka RTFM. Edit. If you are building your own PC. It is wise for you to read all manuals front to back.
I feel like a dumb dumb for the fan cables. I never had them connected to the cooler always case connection. NO VIDEO MENTIONED THIS. I thank you kind sir.

Hey Ari, great video. I have been out of the PC building club for quite a while. I was looking to have a water cooling for my CPU and GPU, and this helped me understand a bit more more about the direction I wanna go in.
Great video, thanks very much. Was mounting the Corsair h150i elite capellix into my new pc today and the manual had absolutely nothing on how to mount to my older am3 socket motherboard. Was totally going to end up ordering/requesting alternative parts from Corsair if it had not been for this vid :)
My Corsair liquid cooler came with an AM4 mounting hardware bag but inside are ONLY THE BRACKETS THAT SLIDE INTO the pump head from the side and 4 screws . Just strange that this video shows these clips for am4. I have the same model liquid cooler.
I just bought this radiator and it comes with a different AM4 mount than this one. I'm having issues though because the standoff screws included don't screw the backplate in snug. Anyone else have this issue?
I thought it was an issue but it’s not (just got /installed mine today). The standoff is loose until you put the pump on. The pump fills the wiggle room. Hope that helps👍🏾.. they just changed the mounting hardware..
Couldn’t find help on any forums, and I started looking at it and seen the contact part of the pump and the screw holes were different depths.. the it clicked in my head
Hey I've this AIO Installed it Lights up when I Turn On PC but Doesn't show up In ICUE Software i had a Sus cause MY CPU Temp in Idle More was too High and was going 95 While on Stress Test ! Can you help ?
I’ve read that most AIO are OEM from a few manufacturers, a video explaining the OEMs and maybe even a review of different ones would be interesting. The only article I could find on this topic was from Gamers Nexus in 2015
This used to be true, CoolIt and Asetek. Due to restrictive patent controls, it's not true anymore. Many manufacturers have designed their own AIOs. I agree it's an interesting topic, but many manufacturers may not reveal their OEMs. I'll ask around, if I can get enough info, I might make a video.
Been trying to build a PC, got one of these and got stumped trying to figure out how to mount it. Turns out somehow mine didn't come with the mounting brackets I actually need.
The new Capellix models actually have a totally different cabling system, trading a lot of the cables coming off the pump for a breakout box that mounts behind the motherboard. Neater and supports more fans, but also bulky in its own way.
@@TheTechBuyersGuru I can agree with Tony. I have the Capellix h100i and mounting the pump on an AM4 is a disaster. Bare with me, not all hooks on the AM4 motherboards are the same. For example on the Gigabyte and MSI one, the profile of the hooks is none existant, so that the eyes of the mounting clips have zero to none grip with the risk, if you're using a screwdriver to thighten the screws, those eyes tend to pop off the hooks. I don't understand that for a 150 Euro costing AIO, Corsair went for such a fiddly mounting system, while they could have gone for a stirdy 4-point mounting system.
iv gopt a amdbuiold a4 at current im ryzen 7 but changing to ryzen 9 5900x so im more concerned which cooler to use ie fam or the Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX
Great video, thanks for sharing. Its been a long since I build a rig, but this one I want to go Liquid cool. If i understand this right, the collant is already in the radiator? sorry for the dumb question. Can't wait to start this build !!
Yes, with an AIO (all-in-one) cooler, the coolant is pre-filled, and except in rare models from a few manufacturers (not Corsair), actually cannot be accessed. Good luck with your build!
AMD Radeon 7 5700 please tell me how the fuck I'm supposed to mount the cooler to the cup. The shit it came with isn't really giving me a tight connection. It wiggles around when you connect the screws to the shit that is in the back of the motherboard

@@TheTechBuyersGuru turns out they put the wrong thumbscrews in with the kit. went through a whole thing lol. they look nothing like the ones in the video.
I'm unfortunately quite annoyed i had to come to UA-cam to find out how to install my new aio to replace my h100vi because of how vastly different am4 is from am3d and my other h100vi i had on my fx8350. For fucks sake corsair. If its am3 and am4 compatible just make a bracket that uses the mounting plate without being stupid about it

It’s different on every motherboard or most at least

all am4 aio coolers use those wobbly mounts

should I get this or the Liquid Freezer? in terms of cooling power, in a tropical country.
Liquid freezer if you care about noise and performance, Corsair if you do not care about noise.

dose this need a water rez inorder to work
To connect the fans to the pump you don't need a splitter do you?
They plug directly in to cables provided.
Mine was different, had use back plate from old cooler and 4 thumb screws to hold it down on my 450 mb
AM5 please!
Can the icue software control ram(effect) of other brands in an asus motherboard?
No, it only controls built-in RGB controllers (lights and headers)
I’ve tried this millions of times but I can’t get it, I feel like my 2 hooks on my motherboard are to close together or something idk
The motherboard hooks can be rotated 180 degrees, so maybe they are mounted wrong. They need to be pointing away from the CPU.

For me in bios it says aio pump NA.
You don't control the pump in the BIOS, you use the iCUE software.
Why in some videos that I watch people mount the fans upside down like shown in the instructions but other people mount them the way you did in the video
You only install them upside down if you want it set as a pull fan. Slightly quieter if used in a front mount, but not as effective.
@@TheTechBuyersGuru OK thanks for the advice I appreciate the reply
My thumb loops don’t fit the mount 💀😫
You probably have the standoffs upside down. The thumb screws definitely fit when installed correctly..
