- Meteorologist Tony Lawbach is hitting the road for what is going to be another dangerous day of storms across the Great Plains. Yesterday, one of the biggest tornado outbreaks we've seen in the last decade and certainly going to be a generational outbreak for sure, as we saw over 100 tornado reports across Nebraska, Iowa and other states with the biggest tornadoes happening across the states of Nebraska and Iowa. #tornado #nebraska #iowa
I left tornado alley a few years ago! Enough was enough! Now I’m in an area where hurricanes are plentiful during hurricane season, but durable.
Yes I’d rather hurricane alley a little further inland any day.
You say that..but give it a few years and I doubt you'll have that tune. Hurricanes will be getting stronger as the years go on, and much more deadly.
I live in south Louisiana but the thing about hurricanes is you have time to prepare for it
@@Pan5836the reason people tend to “prefer” hurricanes to tornadoes is that tornadoes are small enough (but large enough) to be seen as monsters, while hurricanes are just natures force. I can’t be “mad” at a hurricane but I sure as hell can be mad at a tornado.
@@Pan5836look at it this way. Would you be mad a some intergalactic being that is so large that 1 hair is the size of our solar system? If you were mad, what would it matter? Compared to it, you’re smaller than an ant, so might as well just try to rebuild and survive. But compared to a being maybe as large as the Empire State Building x3, you might feel powerless still, but your mind still can comprehend that as an “entity.” And since you can see that as an entity, you can be more scared or mad at it.
People are less scared about hurricanes because we can’t comprehend their power and scale. We can comprehend tornadoes. That is what makes us scared.
The year 2023 had 1423 tornadoes in the U.S. with 83 deaths. '"Generaltional" weather events occur several times each year it seems.
Late afternoon and tonight will be bad and dangerous 😢😢😢
Generational Outbreak doesn't really mean much when these events are happening all the time now.
You're wrong.
Look at the numbers and numbers per day.
Why are you so uninformed?
@@user-dh6bj2me5p I don't even know what you are talking about. What numbers? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@bargdaffy1535These happen about once or twice a year on average years so not all the time but pretty frequent
There almost were 100 tornado reports yesterday alone and the outbreak is expected to continue today AND tomorrow so this is more intense than usual. I have watched previous tornado outbreaks and rarely do they continue for 3 days.
Of course the prediction is for three days and it may not play out to that extent. At any rate almost 100 tornadoes reported in a day is unusual.
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 I Concur, they are More Intense and Longer Lasting and More Frequent and it is pretty obvious if you are actually watching. These Folks above simply aren't watching so they don't have any Idea what is happening.
I used to follow those storms as an insurance adjuster. It’s very humbling to see what nature can do, and mankind can’t do anything about it. To think otherwise is arrogant.
I am the RainMaker, but you can call me arrogant.
