The big reason we have tropes about women passing out comes from French fashion of those times. The corset had been introduced and was fashionable in some circles, but it made it difficult to breathe. The problem of passing out became so bad that they invented a piece of furniture - the fainting couch- to help. With the unintended consequence of having the body compressed to where heavy breathing became nearly impossible, a means of preventing injury followed.

I actually fainted in Rome from heat exhaustion. Though I can't really complain since I was lucky enough to go to Rome.

I once fainted at Six Flags, St. Louis. I was on the Ninja with the VR headset. If you don't know, The Ninja shakes your head a lot! I guess rather than fainting, the shaking knocked me out, because I remember blacking out.

I rode the very same ride, though the VR didn't work for us. I thought I was going to hit my head and black out because the ride is so jerky and the headset was heavy.

This kinda reminded me of an experience I had. I fainted once in 7th grade when we were praticing for a choir concert. The AC broke in our room and we were all on risers, plus there were about 50 choir members. One girl fainted before me, and we were told to all get down off of the risers. Someone went to go get help at Admin. and the girl who fainted first was awake by the time they got there. She had this cut on her head and it was bleeding since she cut it on the corner of one of the risers. I looked down at my shoes and my vison kind of shrunk and slowly got black. Next thing I knew I woke up on the ground with the principal hovering over me. The first thing he said was, "Oh good, she's awake. You don't have to call the ambulance any more." That was a interesting experience.

Fun fact for those who don't know: The reason women fainted a lot back in those days, to the point where they had literally fainting couches, is because of how tight their corsets were, making it extremely difficult for them to breathe. As a result, they weren't getting enough oxygen into their systems.
That's actually a common misconception the corsets didn't usually restrict their breathing (unless tied extremely tight), they created the shape of dress and distributed the weight of the skirts, as such women from all classes wore them.
I just realized Adam's the only one not in this sketch.

I have fainted befor, it was very embarrassing. I was at a field trip at Chick-fil-a and we all went to the back and after the we where done we would all get a free lunch. So we go to the back and then one of the employees was standing there talking about KETCHUP! So all of us where just standing their listening to him talk about ketup! I didn't know that i was locking my knees and my blood pressure just dropped very fast. I fainted on to one of the parents and the catch me, set me back up and then i faint again. They started dragging me out and i woke up and the i fainted again. I again woke up and found myself on a booth and my Mom in tears. Instead of me taking a field trip to Chick-fil-a i got to have one at the ER. I later got sonic at 3:00 for lunch instead of the free one at Chick-fil-a.
