For placing the hood latches symmetrical to each other on top of the hood you should have take measurements from the top and bottom of the latch to the edge of the hood. Would have made them perfectly symmetrical rather than just eyeing it.
But other than that, great job on the instal! Looks great!
Yea i saw that how mighty car mod did it too. The right side was my first time doing it, the left side i could have take measurements but then i need it to make the video so decided to eyeball for the sake of the video amd didn't turn out too bad tbh. Cant really tell
Do you need the hood latches or could I just buy the hood and close it like oem? Sorry I never knew what the hood latches and locking pin was for
For carbon hood, it is highly recommended to install hood latches cuz the last thing you want is ur expensive hood to smack ur windshield and pay more $$ to fix ur windshield and a new hood when u could have spend extra $$ for hood latches since it keep the hood lock in place. Also, the dc5 is known for hood latches' failure. Some people having been driving fine with no locking pin for years, but dont cry when one day the hood smash ur windshield bcuz u decide to take that risk by not installing hood pin on to ur carbon/fiberglass hood.

How do these hood do in rain?
It does fine, engine and battery will get wet and dirty but no issue on mine so far. If u are running an aftermarket intake (doesn't matter if it short ram or CAI), highly recommended getting a hyroshield for the air filter.
Cant say about super heavy rain though, but i left the car outisde for 12 hours in the rain and start up fine. U can always swap back to stock or lay a vinyl wrap over the vent if you worry about it during rain season
