I agree. We cut, but after first pip or very late in the game. We also don't do the cut at day 50 stuff that some do. Like most things in life, it is all about balance. Also, once cut they get checked only to see if they are out, but I do my best to not try and peek in to see what they are all the time (but admit, I have from time to time).
Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Taylor Landon I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
This is what I love about you guys no matter how many amazing morphs you make or game changing combos you are not to proud to admit you are human and have had mistakes and bad things happen even if rare and far between, just so others can learn from you and do the best they can that takes a big person 😊♥️🐍 thank you so much for sharing
Thanks for your take on the cutting subject. I cannot wait to see what the second clutch looks likes. I have my first clutch ever in the incubator and do not understand everything yet - learning as I go. Thanks Justin and Chaise!
Great video Justin! I really appreciate your help and all the great tips you share with everyone 👍 Thank you as well for your help on our first clutch this year!
Glad to see that the next generation breeders are learning what those of us doing this now for 30 years have learned by our mistakes. Wait til one pips then go get the rest unless the entire batch goes 60 days then go in on day 60. Beautiful job as always on the designers
Just subscribed and joined the community of responsible reptiles appreciators community. And what an impeccable timing to see Justin's exemplary blogging. Thanks Just! You're the snakeman! lol!
Great tip Justin. I should be producing clutches soon enough and this was def something I was thinking of what I am going to do. Like the way your doing it and get that video up of the snake we need to see it!!!!
I glad how you can tell what morph it is 12:09 because I am very new to this. I have no snakes yet. I am doing my research first planning to get a ball python in a few months
Justin the fire yellowbelly spotnose clown is my favorite morph you have created man ! You guys have to get that video up soon 🤩 love your backgrounds you had made and the raw footage you showed in this I re- watched a couple times pretty epic. Keep it coming man can’t wait until I have enough capitol to own one of your produced animals
Love the content, I agree with you to wait to cut after cutting even though I get anxious to see and confirm what I think I would definitely want to just wait and leave them alone until they complete the hatching process.
Great video, it's TRUE their is a lot of anxiety and double checking once they are cut. I am gonna do the same thing my next clutch. Great video. Ughhh the teaser was savage lol
I think you did well explaining the pros and cons of cutting! I haven't started breeding yet, but I'm going to be in the #NoCutClub as well: which, as you know, means not cutting until pips have happened. Seems the best balance of ways to do things! Cannot WAIT to see the rest of that Fire OD YB clown baby.
GREAT pro tips ! Waiting for the first baby to pip on it's own then cutting the rest with minimal disturbance until they crawl out is the best method in my opinion. THANK YOU for sharing your experiences with us, good or bad. Sorry about the two babies with under developed egg tooths... Oh COME ON Justin you could of showed the rest of that Fire OD YB Clown. 😉😁 lol ...Awesome YB Dreamsicle clutch 👌 & I can't wait to see the babies from your Spotnose Clown.
Haha No, it's so easy- trust me! Once you try it, your life will never be the same! You can go on vacation, don't have to worry so much about the eggs. Just let nature happen
I think the best egg cutting technique I have seen was on Snake Discovery. All around I feel like Emily has the best technique. She waits for a pip, watches the days of course, and then she only cuts a small c shaped window, just enough to help it out of the egg and breathe. But she doesn't pick them up at all and cuts very carefully. Check her out, I think her technique is what I would personally like to Emulate.
My first clutch should be hatching real real soon like a week. I wanted to cut at 55 days like most people who cut do. But I've seen more and more about not cutting because of what the BREEDER WANTS not what natural birth needs. Like would you give birth to your baby 2 weeks early just because your impatient ? No because it needs to stay in as long as possible. Same kinda concepts.
Id cut um on the days your suppose to. I will do it when I have my first clutch. Thats money lost invested on then for breeding purpose. Im glad i had all yall to learn from
Before I watch the rest of the video I just want to say thank you As a new breeder injesting all the knowledge I can. I have made up my mind personally how I will do mine. My way is 2 head rule or 2 or more cuts on there own before I will touch.
When you said the snake might attempt to leave the egg do you mean after you cut it you still keep it in the incubator and in the egg till they decide to come out or you pull em out ?
Just have two questions, what are the best scissors to use to cut the eggs? Also after the have pipped or cut do you just put them back in the incubator until they are fully out?
Justin love your videos and great clutches loved them all let me know If your selling some I would Like to buy one and of course I want to see the video of that snake you didn’t show today I can’t wait

Thank you so much, you saved my account!
@Wesley Joshua Happy to help :)
Back on topic I wait for piping always.
This is my favorite video so far that you've made. It's nice to see someone show the pros and cons of cutting or not cutting. Great video.
This is awesome. My brother and I were just having this discussion on how we feel about this subject. It really helps getting a pro's perspective.
Thanks for your take on the cutting subject. I cannot wait to see what the second clutch looks likes. I have my first clutch ever in the incubator and do not understand everything yet - learning as I go. Thanks Justin and Chaise!

Yes, I agree it makes sense to wait until one pips to cut.
This has made me think about weather or not to cut the eggs, I will wait from now on until the frist one pips, thank you for the advice in this video

Great vid ,,really helpful tips there man ,,I can’t wait to see that next cutting vids 😃👌🏻👍👍
Justin, you need to join the #maternalincubation Club! I produced 100+ hatchling last year all from maternal incubation! Try it!!
How are the mothers after maternal incubation? Do they lose a lot of weight? Just wondering. Thanks for your time
Haha No, it's so easy- trust me! Once you try it, your life will never be the same! You can go on vacation, don't have to worry so much about the eggs. Just let nature happen
I offer food to the mothers every 7-10 days during the incubation (search the vids on my channel). Most eat well and regain their weight
tactical veterinarian wow totally cool so they still eat while incubating that’s awesome thanks for the response and will check out your videos now.
from how many ball pythons?
To be continued! 😭 LOL! Look forward to the next vid!
Thx for another great informative video
