Hey mate another sunny day in the old country (ex Londoner). I am going to start my driveway cleaning business in OZ in the new year. I hope I don't have too many problems regarding cleaning driveways in the heat. Well done.
I wish you all the best with your business plans.😎👍🏼
Love the tunes almost as good as the final result . Nice upload thanks
Thanks! Glad you liked it.😎👍🏼
I specialized in removing oil stains. Pressure washing just makes it worse by driving the oil further into the paver. The correct way to remove oil from pavers is to use lacquer thinner or paint thinner. Drench the stain and use shop towels to soak it up. This forces the oil out of the paver. Then drench the pavers again and this time use a torch to burn off the thinner. The pavers should be stain free now. Been doing this for over 15 years.
Well done
Great job, would a sealer prevent this reoccurring?
Thanks. A good sealant application would keep the spillage on the surface, preventing it from soaking into the blocks. This would make it easier to clean up.👍🏼
Nicely done as always... Hope to see you on Cleaning Expo 2022... Greetings...
😎👍🏼
Your videos are great bud! Very educational enjoy them all the way from South Africa
That’s great! Thanks for your comments.😎👍🏼
@@aemackintosh i have a question if you don't mind me asking. You only used the surface cleaner on the paving was it strong enough to remove the mold?
I usually use a combination of pressure washing along with a treatment of sodium hypochlorite on paving in order to get the best results.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh thank you very much. I ran a surface cleaner over paved driveway today but it did not remove the moss i had to use the lance to get it out. Treated it with SH afterwards.
There are cleare results but not what i want
Yes lad great videos love the content tell me what do you use on the roots biocide or chrolide ? Cheers keep up the good work
Roofs sorry
I always treat a roof with biocide after cleaning to kill any remaining organic growth, and it also acts as a preventative.😃👍🏼
What products are you using do you recommend any ?
Great video Ashley.....i felt like i was at a drive way clean RAVE!!! awsome😊
😎👍🏼
Bangin tune
Great result with the stain
Tb303 all the way 😃
Thanks 👍🏼

Just had a fresh oil spill on block paving, have put sand on should I clean while oil is still fresh or let it dry off first?
The sooner you clean it off, the better. It might take a couple of try’s and there might even be a faint shadow left behind. But the sooner you try and clean it, the best chance you have of getting the best results.👍🏼
You can also use acetone or diesel or gasoline... Donut Media shower that laundry detergent does the job really well
Sounds great. Thanks.😃👍🏼
Haha great stuff mate and great patience with the customer with that car 🤣🤣🤣 but you smashed it mate as always well done.
A bit annoying, but you gotta laugh really.😆👍🏼
@@aemackintosh or cry hahahaha
What about a good strong application of fairy liquid and brush it in to agatate it a bit. Did u every try and if so what did u think of it
I haven’t tried it.
Considering how bad that oil staining was it came up amazing.
I was pretty pleased with that considering how bad it was.👍🏼
You need to steam clean oil , heat on 150 to get rid of oil stains completely, not a bad result considering you just used cold water , u can hire a steam cleaner there fairly cheep if not Rutland pumps do the mazzoni firebox there about 2 grand good investment you will make that back after a few jobs we did
Yes, that’s a good option.👍🏼
How many applications did you apply and how many tins did you get through Ash? As you say not bad considering, lucky it wasn't red blocks! Cheers M
There was a trail of oil that went right up the drive and some spots in another area too! That main area had three good treatments in the end. I got through two 5litre cans of remover.
@@aemackintosh cheers Ash you done well using only 2 cans, 3 applications is about right ! M
Thanks. Maybe 2and a half cans. Thinking about it now, I think I had about 1/3 of a can to finish up😆👍🏼
Just an observation.. that must have been an expensive job surely? I note that each 5ltr can is £70 odd! Did you agree a price before hand not knowing exactly how much degreaser you would need? Looks like good stuff though and may end up getting some, I've just bought myself my first petrol pressure washer and going to add it as a service alongside my gardening work. Great videos 👍
Thanks. Yes this was a very bad oil spill. It took a bit of experience and knowledge to judge how much oil remover I would need, but yes, I quoted and agreed a price before I started.👍🏼
have you ever tried to apply heat first with a weed torch before applying the chemical. I seen a guy doing it, and it kind of brings the oil to the top
I haven’t tried it myself.
Thanks
😎👍🏼
hi where do I get that from
Resiblock.com
How do you manage customers that agree to have a monthly clean and then when you do their first clean they then claim that this wasn’t agreed.
If customers are going to be difficult and go back on what you agree, then it might be best just to leave it on good terms and go find better customers?👍🏼
What about using muriatic acid?
I haven’t tried it.
Lucky the blocks are black, mine are red. 😒
Yeah, I suppose that kinda helped.👍🏼
Deberían considerar poner subtítulos en español 😥
Brake cleaner works a treat
Great.👍🏼
Tried this product on a concrete drive and it didn't do a thing. Worked well I'm brick though. 🐰
Good to know. Thanks 👍🏼
Remove the oil-stained bricks and replace them with new ones... done!
The replacement bricks will never quite match with the original ones.
Must have come from a transit... (don't ask me how i'd know lol)
😆👍🏼
Is that competition I see next door
The neighbours were out painting the front of their house while I was there. I had to be really careful not to spray on their new paintwork.😬👍🏼
Oil stain is the worst thing to deal with 😑😑😑😑😑
Definitely.
Could you just turn the bricks round
No, there is no bevel on the other side.
I use industrial strength degreaser it does a good job at a 1/4 of the price of what your using but ideally an hot washer would be far better as it actually draws the oil out of the blocks that stuff your using is ridiculously overpriced and to be fair its not really that good for the price
Sounds good. Where do you get your degreaser from?
Great work mate very informative thanks so much
Thanks.😎👍🏼
This is a very good video, but the music is really annoying. Sorry, I had to give you a thumbs-down
Oh well, thanks for watching despite the music. This job was so much work! I hope you will come back soon.👍🏼
