Glen Powell really stole the show, he was so charismatic, though Anthony Ramos was overshadowed as a result. I loved that they updated the story for a modern audience, while keeping some 90's nostalgic elements.
Anthony Ramos still had a really good performance imo. His character was probably the most fleshed out too tbh with the most complete arch so there was alot to chew on and I thought he nailed it. All of the supporting cast in this was really good.
I haven't rewatched the original Twister since, so I can't vouch for it, but I do remember really liking it a lot as a kid. Then again, I was at that age where if any movie doesn't lose your attention it's your new favorite thing for a week or so.
Y’all should absolutely watch the original Twister! Less pacing issues, more interesting characters, and all the same fun beats that work in the sequel.
I haven't seen the original but I LOVED this one. I went in expecting a fun 6-7/10 and walked out on a 8.5/10 high. It was constant emotional whiplash through the whole thing, one moment I'm gripping my seat terrified and the next I'm laughing. When the lady told her child "it's going to be okay" in the pool I was traumatized from the start of the movie, I was convinced someone was gonna die for sure
Gotta say I absolutely loved this! I'm always a bit sad that we don't really get these classic feeling blockbusters anymore and it felt great to see something that captured that
Plankton farts and it makes a Tornado. 😂 I thought this one was much better than the 1996 one and watched them basically back to back. Surprisingly 4 out of 5 for me.
Twisters (2024) is awesome really enjoyed it, I’ve seen it twice now I enjoyed it that much. And yes you don’t have to have seen Twister (1996) to enjoy this one, but you absolutely should lol! Twister is a 90s classic! Definitely worth watching
Team B should've had some more recognizable names and faces. I kept waiting the whole movie for her to switch tribes Survivor-style because of it. Also, you have the lead singer of TV on the Radio in the cast, but don't include him on the soundtrack smh..
twister? i barely know her!

Rest in Peace, Bill Paxton and Philip Seymour Hoffman. If either were still alive, I'd have loved for them to have cameos here.

Twisters mightn't be a perfect movie, but it's a perfect SUMMER movie.

They agree! A new day
Spielberg denying us the kiss is unforgivable
Pretty in keeping with most other reviews I’ve seen.
“But did you see the cow?”
Awesome review!
Excellent review
In a single word? No. Just one 41 year old guys opinion. Enjoyed the review yall, thanks!
how much patreon money do you think the tornado youtube guys were making in this movie
Twisters. The most anticipated movie of 1999!
It should illegal to make a twister movie if you're not gonna make it cheesy and melodramatic, I'm glad they retained that from the original.
Team B should've had some more recognizable names and faces. I kept waiting the whole movie for her to switch tribes Survivor-style because of it. Also, you have the lead singer of TV on the Radio in the cast, but don't include him on the soundtrack smh..
Lee isaac Chung sweep 📈📈📈
That does sound very fusstrating :)
Is it just me or does it strangely feel like they just straight up took the plot of Godzilla Minus One and replaced Godzilla with a tornado?
That’s interesting 🧐
I can see the comparison!
Not at all. The main character in that movie escaped his line of duty and basically built a family.
I feel more like it takes from Top Gun 2
I mean Godzilla minus one just took jaws and replaced the shark with Godzilla. It’s all the same template.
The most gripping and immersive movie since Top Gun: Maverick, and Glen Powell stars in both.
The original does not hold up. Also probably the only bad Philip Seymour Hoffman performance.
Hated hated hated this as a huge fan of the original but since you haven't seen it I forgive you
Twisters, idiotic , stupid movie.
