Hello There!! Greetings from India. This is an awesome tutorial. Positive points 1) nicely explained 2) simple language 3) simple bullet points which we need to take care of 4) being a .NET guy, it helped me using some c# skills for message display like the way you did. APPRECIATIONS!! Keep up doing great works. Thank you! :)
Excellent series. I binge watched the entire collection on a round trip flights coast to coast in the US. Cleared up a lot of my questions about SSIS, explaining both the pragmatic, "how to" ones and the conceptual, "what does this really mean" ones. Well organized and presented with clarity and a touch of humor. Both informative and entertaining. Thanks for this great resource.
I knew I would like this guild as soon as the dude sorted out his start up and the dry humour around at the point of mentioning that copy paste would spring to mind... Great guide...

Within the VstaProject when I try to BUild the project, it gives me an error that a mscorlib.dll is missing in a path of the Users\AppData\... Any help to avoid this. Hi Roger! I'm not sure why you're experiencing this problem but perhaps this link will help docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/348997/ssis-2019-unable-to-save-script-tasks.html
Hi, I could solve the issue already by updating the VisualStudio2019 version, as I missed the Update from the installer. Another small issue I solved is that I have the 64-bit version installed, but the driver of the Excel Destination 97-2003 is a 32-bit, therefor I needed to set the project-parameter Run64bitRuntime to FALSE instead of TRUE. 😃
When the package was run for the second time, how does it handle the pre existing file? Does it overwrite the copy that was generated by the first package execution?
I'd say if you're working with on-premises SQL Servers then yes, SSIS is worth learning. I don't have enough information about your client to give an answer on Azure Data Factory.
