I can listen to this guy talk all day. I literally search his name daily. So much respect for what he's done with his life. Most people would have never had a chance with his upbringing. Side note, he says everything 2 times! Hahahah
I went to the University of Arizona in 1995 and my suite mates were from Jersey and Brooklyn. UOFA had/has a lot of people from that area that go to school there. One night within the first week of being there we were all hanging out in their room, our rooms were connected by a bathroom that we shared. One of the guys names was Giovanni. We were all just talking and asking where we were from. My roommate and I had known each other since elementary school and I switched rooms with his roommate because he didn’t really like his roommate and the roommate I had I didn’t know and we wanted to be roommates anyway. So we asked Giovanni where he was from and what his family was like. He told us that he was from Bensonhurst Brooklyn,he had that strong Brooklyn accent, and that his family owned dry cleaners in Brooklyn ,Queens and in the city. Then he showed us a picture of his family and I was like holy shit if they are not in the Mob I’m not in college lol. Every guy in the picture had a expensive tailored suit on and they were all wearing Rolex watches. His dad had a Rolex Presidential with the factory diamond bezel and his brothers who were 5-6 years older than Giovanni was had Submariners on. I know that the dry cleaning business is a good is a great business especially in NY but it was pretty obvious that his family was somehow connected lol. Giovanni also drove a brand new 745 il BMW as a freshman. When Anthony was talking about his dad telling him to tell his teacher that he worked in a dry cleaners I remembered that incident with my suit mate.
Only Anthony’s father didn’t work in a dry cleaners while Giovanni’s family most probably did. Long hours too. You’re naive to think every seemingly successful Italian American is connected.
I’m sure you explained it before but I must of missed it. But why was your Father called “ Fat Andy”? Also , GO GREEN! My daughter has a the class of “2013”. 😊
