Excellent playthrough ! Watching it makes me realize that we can choose the cards we discard from damage. So far I was discarding them randomly, I makes a real difference !
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a method to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the login password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Jamari Bishop Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Good video. I like the uberstax! I am a creature of habit and really enjoy how the old version (cards) looked, but the added expanded storyline to this expansion is a welcome addition.
The uberstax do come in handy for games like this! As for the art on the cards, all they did was zoom in using the same art from the previous version. I would have loved new full frame art work ... but the game is keeping me occupied. :)
Great video! Trying this scenario with 3 characters and not easy with the D12 roll on each character's move step...for your scenario completion reward, it does not say random boon of any type so would these not be boons that you can select?
Thanks for watching! It's been a while since I've played this game, and after a quick look at the rules, I don't see where I thought it was random. Good luck in your adventure!!
Not sure what happened to your audio. At about 17:45 your volume drops out and you are very hard to hear until around 42:10 when it seems to go back to normal volume. Hope you can fix the problem for future videos. What brand/name of dice are you using? Really like the purple, green, and blue colors. Thanks for continuing the Path!
White Rabbit the sound did drop down a bit. I didn’t notice that in the edit. I hope you were able to adjust manually for that time (in the software I use there is a toggle for keeping volume at the same level throughout. It definitely had a slight change). As for the dice, I’ll take a look in my game shop this weekend and see the brand of dice and get back to you.
Thinking back to recording, I did do this video in multiple takes (took a break probably around the 17 minute mark for dinner), so I had at least two video files. Next video in this series (scenario 2A) also has separate video files ... being a new video editor, I'll do the best I can and in the future try to keep to one video file and see if that was the cause of the issue. The learning curve on video editing software is a bit challenging. Hmmmm. Thanks for letting me know. I'll see what I can figure out.
@@DaletheCasualGamer Thank you Dale. I picked up a purple set and, after a bit of testing, have been pleasantly surprised that they seem to roll very fair. I will grab another color to start the new pathfinder game with. I hope you continue the series.
Good catch! You are correct, I should have only added the 2d4 for the combat check. Total would have been 15 without the d12 (13 showing with +2 from Valeros Melee: Strength) ... so Shae would still have been defeated ... barely (I got lucky with that one!)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Yay me ^^. Yep it did not change anything just wanted to be sure that I understood how it worked. Thank you very much for your videos as I am considering getting the game myself, it's very helpful. Keep up the good work !
@@vincentbelat538 Thanks, and hope you enjoy the game ... I'm trying to "pimp" my game out by getting all the miniatures. Just picked up Lim and Quinn ... still need Fumbus and Varian, which I don't think have been released yet.
I just dug this game out trying to figure out where I left off. I made it to The Crimson Throne(1C). Im thinking of starting up again where I left off. Did you ever go any further in the story?
@Shawn Gabrish Always tough to remember where you left off after putting the game back on the shelf! I finished the core box, and went part way through the Crimson Throne (my early days of YouTubing). Happy adventuring!
I enjoy the game, as you can tell with my continued plays, but my “issue” is with having to remember all the special conditions from the scenario, adventure, and multiple cards in play. Or should I say, my attempt to remember all those things. ;)
@@DaletheCasualGamer It's you and me both :-) I made special game reference helps to make sure I don't forget a step or special scenario conditions, e.g., when you meet the Kobold champion encounter the danger first... :-D lol
Some, until used, while others are just until the end of the turn. Information should be on the card as to when to discard or remove the displayed card.
I'm playing this scenario now. Couldn't you have chosen not to close the locations and continue searching for Auction cards? I don't see anywhere that you must close the locations to win the scenario.
Some rules are definitely hard to locate ... and I've been know the be wrong. ;) I'm going off the statement on page 3 under "Object of the Game", you either need to defeat and corner the villain, and in scenarios without a villain, you need to close all the locations before time runs out. So if you feel you have enough time, you could choose to not close the location when you defeat the henchmen, then empty the location deck in order to close the location that way. Hope your adventures go well!!
This is a change from the original game, once a location is closed, it is removed from the game and any characters at that location immediately move. (p.15 of rulebook)
It allows another "local" character at a location to attempt to defeat a bane after another character just failed the attempt. It usually requires the new character to bury a card. Look on page 10 of the core rulebook for more information. Good luck!
14:08 You said something weird here, that you were adding a +2 to EACH dice, which is incorrect. When you bless a check, it only adds an addition die, not the die's modifier (Page 11, sidebar about Rules: Skills, Dice, and Modifiers). It's a common mistake since the game first came out and in this case, didn't affect this outcome. But for the sake of accuracy, the roll only got the +2 once. 32:46 You actually failed this roll due to the above reason. 41:30 ... and again. 44:00 Acid arrow for a distant check is just 2d4 and the Arcane trait; not Arcane Die. 55:47 You're correct about picking at random. It'd tell you specifically if you got to choose. In this case, you only got to choose the type of boon.
@@DaletheCasualGamer Oh, and just so you know, your interpretation of FireBolt is correct given the card; but it's actually a typo according to Paizo's website. It SHOULD have attack and fire traits. Unfortunately, there are usually a number of card typos in each set; some more severe than others. Call it a glitch in the game, if you will. JFYI
In this version of the game, after closing a location, apply "before closing" effects, banish cards, apply effects "on closing", return the location to the vault and then all characters that were at the location immediately move. A little different than the original game.
thanks for doing all these. watched them all. bought the game. these helped greatly get me to the table. you kick ass. thanks!

I dont believe seonni can shoot and acid arrow and get arcane 12 +2 for another persons attack.. It is only 2d4 i think
where or how do I find the setup you have with the cards bring verticle?

So you roll and encounter an eldritch bane at the end of each of your move turns even if you didn’t technically move to a different location?

Do you get a free move after closing A location or should you have to wait until your move at the beginning of your next turn
This is a change from the original game, once a location is closed, it is removed from the game and any characters at that location immediately move. (p.15 of rulebook)
