1:12 I always find it remarkable just how wasteful birds are with their food sources. I once watched a Hairy Woodpecker shovel about 100 sunflower seeds from a bird feeder onto the ground before selecting a single seed and flying away with it.

They are often very picky. Especially woodpeckers since they store seeds. They try to find that perfect seed for later.
