Make sure the controller isn't pulling more amps than the BMS allows. Not sure it's an issue with a high rated (30+a) BMS, but many of these budget bikes have cheaper lithium cells than are rated at 15a BMS or less
The balancer draws the higher voltage battery down to a balanced voltage between the two batteries and then uniformly discharges to the low voltage cutoff of the BMS or the controller.
Does the 20Amp fuse on adapter prevent more than 20 amps from going to motor or coming from battery? Let’s say I have a battery with high discharge and 40amp bms?
The max current limit of the bike controller dictates what the max discharge rate of the system is. Putting more than 20A continuous through a 20A balancer will burn it up

For ultimate safety it is recommended to unplug the second battery. We are aware of hundreds of applications where the second battery is not unplugged from the balancer while both batteries are plugged into their respective chargers.

@@ElectricAllWheel so if I upgrade to a controller that’s 35amp output this balance will not be powerful enough

Where can you put the battery besides the rack? I have no space at the back since I use a big basket and a food delivery bag.
