American democracy got to Arnulfo also. Before, he was running barefoot to travel, have fun, communicate, and now he runs with shoes in competitions.

I honestly think they ran traditionally barefoot or with the huraches because that's all they had. I'm not surprised he's open to trying the new shoes, if its something you haven't had access to, sure you'll try it.
