@Kingsley Bryant thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hey Maggie! Just a quick question here: I'm preparing a second video about the cities of Kampala and Entebbe while traveling in the region. Would you recommend some interesting places that I might have missed in the first video? Thanks.
Beautiful country. tHappy to see it defying the stereotypical image. African countries have been traditionally presented in a negative light:: associated with images of war, poverty, violence, backwardness. Western media is not interested in showcasing the positive aspects of Africans: their indomitable spirit, cheerfulness and strength in the face of adversity, their resourcefulness and simplicity indicative of real inner liberation. Keep making these videos, brother, not just to show these delightful places but the beauty and innocence of the people themselves. Fight to disprove the Great Lie about Africa that has sought to justify the conquest of the past and the continued exploitation of the present. The image of Uganda has become unfairly and inextricably linked to one man, President Idi Amin. Thank God for You Tube! Fight the Lie, tell your story. Love from the West Indies. I dislike the term Caribbean..that is a destination for tourists... sun, sand and grinning natives eager to please. I much prefer the term "West Indies" which denotes a sense of identity, political and social cooperation. unity and brotherhood The best of luck to you..
Now that’s our country leave alone the one the media shows as if there are no homeless people in the west at least in Africa they leave in grass thatched houses
The problem in Uganda is the same problem in all African countries; there is hardly any black owned businesses. Asian and Indians dominate the Ugandan economy thanks to government corruption. During the 1970s, if Idi Amin Dada had only educated and trained Ugandans on businesses practices and farming before deporting Indians back to India, Uganda would been a black owned heaven today.
@Nathan: one of the problems I observed myself was hyperinflation. I'm French but I found Kampala and Entebbe so expensive (even more than Paris in several aspects) that I wondered how the locals manage to offset that.
Indians and Asians who own businesses in Uganda get very low rates on loans from their countries and then invest their money in Uganda. This is what most people over look. It doesn't mean that Ugandans/Africans can not do business or do not know how to do business.
NOT TRUE THAT FOREIGNERS OWN MOST BUSINESSES IN UGANDA. BEFORE AMIN DECLARED UGANDA A BLACK COUNTRY, INDIAN RUN BUSINESSES, COMPETING WITH THE BAGANDA, LOCAL MARKETS. WEN AMIN REALIZES NO AFRICAN OWN SHOPS, HE ORDERED THEM OUT BESIDES THEY WERE NOT PUTTING MONEY IN UGANDAN BANKS. FEW BLACKS WHO OWM BUSINESS WERE REGISTERED TO TAKE OVER BUSINESS, EG SEBAGALA. COMPARE TO OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRIES, LIKE SOUTH AFRICA, UGANDA IS ONE OF AFRICAN COUNTRIES WERE MAJORITY OF CITIZENS RUN OWN BUSINESSES. ONE OF THE AFRICA BUSINESS COUNTY. IN THE LAST 10 YRS FEW RICH INDIANS HAVE RETURNED THE LOCAL FARMERS IN UGANDA DON'T PRODUCE ARTIFICIALLY MODIFIED FOODS. IT'S SURPRISING THAT WHAT WE FIND IN LOCAL MARKETS ARE BETTER THAN WHAT WHAT YOU FIND IN EUROPE, MARKETS.
So sad to see Kampala saying goodbye to the British era bungalows villas and mansions and going the mumbai Dhaka Hong Kong way if ugly high-rises with no craftmanship High-rise bring nothing but disaster Overcrowding too much rush and commotion jams fliiding heat humidity watershortage
I love how suppressive Uganda is against human rights... I love how there are no new schools... I love how there are no new hospitals... I love how the president keeps all the aid money for himself... What's not to love about this dictatorship...
Freddy.. lean to hear the sarcasm in insult in such people. This is a racist man messaging to rubbish the positive in your video. They do it on all positive videos on Africa. Just delete the comment.
@@mityanaroadonlinetv6072 I admit, education is super expensive in Uganda. It is, however, almost free AND almost possible for everyone in several other countries. Those countries, I bet, know for sure that it has to be this way in order to develop a nation.
Well I think it's important for people to know what's actually going on in Uganda that are not living there any more such as myself, if we don't know we can't help! That president has been there for so long I never knew any one could be president for that long, I am so used to the American way! Beautiful
Amazing content..I'm just started doing vlogs of Garissa Town but I'm not as good as you. Congrats 👏
From Rwanda, I love Uganda. But I hate the political problems between our leaders
Definitely agree with you. I would love to visit Rwanda too but the atmosphere is tense between our leaders
@@nelsonma6297 one day all this will end and people will be able to move to both countries freely
YES .... Rwanda has an educated intelligent president ... Uganda has an ignorant Gullible and Retarded Despot as a leader ..

Hai, is it at Ku Bbiri Round About?
Hi, this was in the city center - the start of the video
I love my country Uganda
Waoo I love my Country
Are there beaches in Uganda?
Sure, quite a lot of them in several towns around Lake Victoria. The best are in Entebbe
In Kampala itself there are beaches at Gaba. Look for a place called Gaba in Kampala
@@Kato9436 i was just wondering because none of the Ugandan vloggers seem to ever go to the beach so i thought they may not have beaches there.
