    It's so sad when children are in the most danger from the adults who are supposed to be their caregivers. Maddening.

      I made a UA-cam video about this on my channel too. I live 15 minutes from where she was found. It really shook our town and we were all in such disbelief. It’s so sad going to the cemetery and seeing her grave. It’s a heart and there’s little stuffed animals there and flowers. It was so hard seeing it. She didn’t deserve any of that!

      Have you ever heard about Alexandria "Ali" Lowitzer from Spring Texas
      She was a high school student, she got off the school bus near her house and was never seen again, it happened in 2010.
      There was talk about the Sheriff's son being involved, and security tapes had gone missing.
      Her mother is still searching and also helping find other missing children.

    These heartless, senseless, brutal murders of children are the most heart-wrenching of all murder cases. Some people should not get to have kids. Pretty crazy they need a law that you have to report your kid missing within 72 hours. Most parents would be freaking out within 2 minutes of not seeing their kid. And not knowing where they are.❤️

    I watched some of the interviews. Megan laughs quite a few times and only seems to cry when the interviewer asks her how she is doing, if she misses Evelyn, or about getting Evelyn back. She even jokes around a little. She seems to enjoy the interview and attention. Megan's story constantly changing tells you she had something to do with her daughter's death.
    Her laughing during the interviews reminds me of how Diane Downs laughed when she was reenacting how she said her kids were murdered.
    To me, if a parent can't take a missing child or the death of a child seriously they have to have something to do with the child's disappearance or death.
    When I heard Evelyn's legs were sticking out of the bag she was found in I knew without a doubt she was put in the bag alive. It tears my heart apart imagining that poor baby possibly kicking and fighting her mom as her mom stuffed her into the bag to die. She could have fought so much Megan couldn't get her whole body in the bag so Megan gave up fighting with her and tied the bag up with her leg sticking out. Just disgusting.

      Meagan B reminds me of Diane Downs too. She clearly likes the attention and doesn't seem to be upset at all, laughing etc. She also reminds me of a younger version of Leticia Stauch. Something really weird about the rhythm of her speech. So rehearsed. No feeling.

    Thanks for the recap.
    I grew up in Sullivan County, but I don't think I know anyone associated with the case. I've met some political candidates in the area, but I don't remember meeting that sheriff.
    The problem with setting a specific time period for reporting a child missing is that everyone seems to have a different definition of when someone is missing.
    That two cases involving young girls come from the same area is odd and frightening. While Summer Wells lived in Hawkins County, the cove where she went swimming that day was in Sullivan County, and I think all of the places where the family went shopping were in Sullivan County.

    • @profoundpunk
      @profoundpunk Рік тому +3

      If there's a silver lining in the timeline of these cases, it's that Evelyn's body was found before the Summer Wells case happened. If the timing had been reversed, I have no doubt Evelyn's mother would have latched on to the "kidnapped by a local gang" theory that Summer's father put forth.

    Another sweet innocent angel who was let down by every adult in her life who was suppose to protect her.
    Also...I can't believe that the judge ruled the photos of Evelyn inadmissible because they would be too traumatizing for a jury to see. The thing is, that's exactly why they should be allowed to see them. We don't want to think about how far someone will go to hurt a child, our minds don't want to imagine the worst. In this case, in order to secure a conviction, I think it's vital that the jury see exactly how someone treated that little girl, wrapping her up, putting her in a plastic bag, and throwing her away like garbage...all while she was still alive.
    If the Casey Anthony case taught us anything, it's that slam-dunk cases aren't always slam-dunks. Other people may eventually be charged in this case, which will lead to deals being made. There will be witnesses who will all try to remove themselves as far as they can from Evelyn's murder. With all that going on, the prosecution needs every single piece of evidence available to them to get a conviction. With conflicting stories from witnesses and the defendant, with a jury of human beings who won't want to believe that a mother could do this, or allow someone to do this, to her child, and with an important piece of evidence that they will never see, it's not impossible that they could have just enough doubt to acquit her. Those pictures should not have been excluded, and certainly not for the reason that the judge excluded them. I understand evidence being excluded because it could be prejudicial, it was illegally obtained, or another reason directly linked to the case, but not because it could offend a jury's delicate sensibilities.

    When a parent either constantly lies or refuses to cooperate with police, LOCK THEM UP. Why people can be allowed to carry on in this way is staggering. There have been quite a few children missing for long periods in the last year & when you have the right to say bugger all, thats OK. Meanwhile precious children are being killed by feckless parents on a daily basis, where is the end?

    Good afternoon from Melbourne, Australia. You mentioned Casey Anthony. I've heard the name but no nothing about her case except what you stated she was found not guilty over a missing child. A similar case happened here which is pretty famous. Greg Domaszewicz was babysitting 13 month old Jaidyn Leskie who went missing and was found deceased in a body of water. Everything was pointing to Greg as the killer. He was found not guilty by a jury and can't be tried again (double jeopardy) so technically the case is still open. Your video is very sad. If as the mother states that one rolls over in bed and smothers their child you don't throw them out in the garbage. You ring emergency 000 in Australia, 991 in the USA and Canada?

      @miriamiuricich6636 Рік тому

      Hi fellow Melbournite. I am still haunted by the Jaidyn Leskie case as I am about Azaria Chamberlain. A dingo might have taken her but it didn’t fold her matinee jacket up neatly and buried it. Jaidyn’s case was a travesty of justice. Evelyn’s case is so traumatic. If you want to know more about Casey Anthony look up Bailey Sarian and Stephanie Harlow for a good review.

    Correction: Only the child's face was prohibited from being seen in court: "Goodwin ultimately ruled that the close-up photograph of Evelyn’s face was so haunting that it might well prejudice jurors and cannot be used at trial. But Sullivan County District Attorney General Barry Staubus convinced Goodwin to allow jurors to see nearly a dozen other photographs taken after Evelyn’s body was discovered." -- The Tennessee Lookout.

    It's sickening the number of mothers, fathers, & significant others that kill children these days. I have no doubt that Megan Boswell killed her daughter. I've been waiting for the trial since I live (born & raised) in East Tennessee.

    One of the most disturbing things is that evidence is kept from a jury. I really see no valid reasoning. They probably have substitutes .. surely the only important thing should be the truth.

  • @juliehill8292
    @juliehill8292 Рік тому +2

    I believe her mom and the bf knew all along that the baby was dead. One important thing you forgot to mention. Before the gf call initially he was told by his ex that he would regret reporting Evelyn missing. There is a slim chance that's going to be the defense. That her mom and the boyfriend killed Evelyn and hid her on the grandfather's property to make it appear he had something to do with it. This entire family knew this baby was dead and left her to rot in a shed. All of them should be punished ALL OF THEM.

    This is a new one for me. This makes no sense whatsoever. Not that any crime makes sense, but.... no motive is confusing.
    lts hard to grasp the death of a baby, just for the hell of it. Such a chunky cutie. 😭😭😭
