I love seeing all the jam bands there. Umphrey's McGee is by far my favorite. Killer shows they put on, and so great at red rocks. Their light shows are incredible
This is my favorite song:) My favorite song since i was 13 the year twister came out. John Rzeznik is sooooooooo talented:) I agree he looks awesome in a black pinstripe suit:) He has a style all his own:) He looks great in blue as well:)
Raxta Emu right even though this version is cleaner sounding with the 3 fricking guitarists its a bit more subdued that 96 Letterman version was raw much more energy and overall just better in my opinion
@@hellfire8883 cuz they were hungry to get exposure and make it. This is an old song too, so they are bored. Pretty ungrateful of their success imo Shitty vocals and performance
@@russellpaloor8225 Yeah it's pretty common to see bands play their hearts out when they are trying to impress and make it. Some get kinda lazy and complacent in later years after years of success.
The RRHOF is a joke at this point. There are so many bands/artists that deserve to be in it, but for some reason, they are constantly snubbed. Foreigner, Boston, Peter Frampton, Styx, Huey Lewis and the news, Alice In Chains, Ted Nugent, etc. I can go on for days. The Goo Goo Dolls are definitely one of them.
Johnny must have been listening to a lot of Bob Dylan at the time. Listen o how he's phrasing things, like "I don't think I'll make it on my own." Reminds me of Frank Zappa imitating Bob Dylan on the song "Flakes" from Sheki Yerbouti.
Why do all the bands from the early 90s have to wear....suits.... LOL... ALWAYS!!! the drummer never... but seriously... come on!! It really seems like a lame...."long way down" LOL
Best Goo Goo Dolls song ever written!!!! Thank you Johnny 💚
Grew up five miles from Red Rocks, even had my High School graduation there. By far the best place ever to see a concert.
Grew up in Lakewood. Best venue on the planet. We were very fortunate.

I love how Robby still keeps the Punk in the band
Hell of a bassist...Always been one of my favorites.
He's amazing!!

I think he’s criminally underrated tbh
TWISTER SOUNDTRACK FTW
To this day this is my favorite song from Goo Goo
brings back memories...got to be one of the best singers out there
Great Performance!
Not sure why everyone is dissing this version. I think it sounds great! It’s just compressed and gated so it has a more produce sound
I think it's great..And at Red Rocks?? EPIC
Much cleaner version than the original...Both are equally great.
I think it's also tuned down a full step too. Which is common live anyway.
This version sounds good
Super down tuned, sounds lazy and lackluster!!!
I’d love to hear Robby singing lead, and Johnny sing backup for “Long Way Down.”
Actually an interesting imagination take with that one. Cool thought.
He actually still has it, well now he does again.
Powerful!
The original "90210" brought the GGD to my attention
HAPPY t moms day all goo dolls!!!
Fan here awesome!
the sounds great.
good version.
Crazy huh? Let's all go back to Red Rocks!
i watched the 96 version on letterman then this lol wow
Bad🤫 Ronald 🎸💯🎫Goo Goo Dolls 🎟️. LIVE ON Live....
Legendary
@mralabanza2010 it comes with an album they released a few years ago called "Goo Goo Dolls: Greatest Hits Vol.2"
Classic
lolz
who was that making entry robby or johnny...:D how he was running it surely would have been rob anyway
love them ....
What a weakness sounds ever
Went to the same high school as John .. 716
Killer Dot!!!
Back to the Letterman show version lol..
Raxta Emu right even though this version is cleaner sounding with the 3 fricking guitarists its a bit more subdued that 96 Letterman version was raw much more energy and overall just better in my opinion
Robby’s backing vocals were a lot more raw and raspy on the Letterman version too.

@@hellfire8883 there is a third guitarist in Letterman though yes this one is not as good as the letterman version no complaints there
Only Johnny can chew gum and sing at the same time LMAO
Dave Grohl does it too. Its to prevent the mouth to going dry while they're performing.
Actually John Lennon did it way back in the 60s first.
But impressive none the less.
@idoleternal this song is off one of the first albums "a boy named goo." it's not new.
Not convinced that this is not a GGD tribute band.
GGD?
@@dalewetzel773Goo Goo Dolls
Y are they not in the Rock Hall of Fame?

@@davidstanley9543 u right about that brother
He's lost his rasp. MORE RASP!
I always thought this song was underrated by billboard and to a lesser extent their casual fans.
Anyone know why they started playing this a half step lower?
I prefer this one to other lives. it sounds good soft in live and raspy on cd
Tuned a long way down. Takes the punch out of the song unfortunately but still performed well.
@pulpBleacher They've matured
❤😂❤😂❤
2023 anyone?
The Letterman version, it was obvious that the guitars weren't in tune with each other.
This sounds like it's being played on a walkman that's batteries are running out
and the video......
anyone else bugged that the audio mixers brought down Robby's voice and used more of the backup guitarist's (I forget his name) instead?
Do you mean Korel Tunador?
Who's the bass player in this video? He doesn't look like the original bass player.
It's Robby Takac

It's because he has gum in his mouth 😂.
Dave Grohl would like to have a word with you...
and who cares thats better to some people!
errrrrk'd they are not playing this on tour. Kinda lame. That's all.
eh this version is fine some parts not great others ok
Sounded like Bob Dylan...
really chewing gum while singing.
wow, no energy at all. back to letterman's version
the guitar solo is not as good as lettermans
Why do all the bands from the early 90s have to wear....suits.... LOL... ALWAYS!!! the drummer never... but seriously... come on!! It really seems like a lame...."long way down" LOL
because the singers and guitars players are usually center stage
You can tell it’s forced and honestly, depressing.
ya it sucks much
Sounds just bad as a cover
Bad live performance .
They're so down tuned, lost original feel and very sloppy!
Terrible wtf
