    You make a bracket to flip over so both pedals are tied in together when pressed just like the bigger machines ,then you have the option to only use one break for turning or two for the road safety

    Nice looking tractor there. Those front wheels really look well too. Be very careful with this tractor they are very addictive. I started w/ just one. Now I have 2 and my 12 year son has one also. Came close to picking up a 4th 2 weeks ago. Thanks for sharing.

    Folks, I own two of these machines, both medal bodied ones. Can't say enough of how really great these tractors are. When Power King began changing their tractors in the mid 80's and went with the plastic/fiberglass hood, other guys out there nick named them, Plastic King Tractors. I loved the way they looked, they were heavy duty, monster machines. Now I'm gonna be totally honest with yinz on this. The Plastic King tractors had a bad reputation of the transmission. When the clutch went, it took the transmission right along with it to. That's sad as they were so beautiful of a tractor there when they redesigned them, wish I could get one, however I stayed away from one that I ran across because of the information I was told about the transmission. If it weren't for that problem, the tractor would have been mine. I promise you on that.

      @@AustenARW Tell ya something else. If you need Flint tires for this tractor, Tractor Supply is the place to go. I had to replace one on the Power King medal bodied tractor I own that I use to plow snow with, and after the purchase and the mounting on the rim, it fit like a glove. I got the tire, as stated at Tractor Supply.

    thank you for your time i really want one of these tractors i was looking into getting a 60" bad boy zero turn they run about 6k but when i found out that i can get a 60" belly mower for one of these and they can do so much more than just mow for about a 3rd of the price i have been looking for one ever since and the fact that they are just super cool dont get me wrong i like my wheel horse c145 but no 60" deck for it am looking for a 2418 i think these little tractors have a great place on a small homestead like mine with a few attachment will save a tone of labor the main reason to buy one with a few attachments the front end loader 60 belly mower a tiller a plow and a box blade would be nice but i dont think i will have a tone of money tied up in it.

      Hi,
      Yes, one of the advantages to a garden tractor over a ZTR is the ability to perform other tasks. If you're looking for a dedicated mowing machine that can get in tight places, maneuver quickly, and get the job done in record time then I would still consider a ZTR if those are your goals. These tractors do mow well but they are not by any means a ZTR. Attachments can be hard to find meaning you might have to ship them from out of state depending upon how ambitious you are to have them. Buying a "package deal" is usually the best way to go so you're not having to buy and or ship attachments separately after the fact. Good luck on either way you go! ;-)

      @iwantosavemoney 7 років тому

      Austen yes with working with something older i would abide my time and find a package deal that has most of what i want the 2 trans would be nice but the 60" deck and the 3 point would get me on my way the rest i could find fairly easy i think thanks for tje information am kinda a cheap guy and i dont know if you have heard but they make plans to build a front end loader if you would be intrested when i found that i thought it was neat

      Not a fan here of those zero turn radius go cart mowers. They look to dangerous to me to bother with, besides, people has gotten killed on them to. Your much off with a tractor as with a tractor, you can mow grass, plow your garden, disc your garden plow your snow pull a fairly small cut down tree, pull a trailer, so many other uses with a tractor. See if you can do all that with those zero turn radius go cart mowers. You can't. A tractor is the way to go!

      Austen lol I've heard old bulldozers with starters that aren't that loud. I sure do love that tractor. Every time I sit on it I think of my grandfather driving it while I stood on the 3 point hitch. If I could change anything I'd put weight on the front. It stands up too easy.

    How’s the deck install I bought one of these I’m trying to figure out if I have all the correct pieces can you show a tutorial on that

    • @AustenARW
      @AustenARW  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, The deck install on these is actually really simple to install. First, do you have the mule drive? Mount that up first. There are two arms that connect the deck to the mule drive. There are several slots on the arms and mule drive that can be used depending on length of your belt to tension it. There should be a chain that connects your rock shaft to the deck and that's it other than installing the belt.

      I would recommend getting a link belt. In order to replace it you have to actually separate the engine from the bell housing if you go with a standard belt.
