I wonder if you could do some analysis of what might have happened in a few cases where credit call spreads protected us. Usually the point of insurance is for the few worst circumstances. If you could find the top two or three times it helped i wonder if we didn't have those if it could have tanked the fund.
Some people pay for home insurance every month and yet every month it does nothing. Hundreds of dollars "wasted." But the one time you really need it...
