This is fun to watch because I have never been snowboarding! I would cut out the fade to black spots- I thought it was over a couple times.
Love that you stop the music around 13min showing the reality of being out of breath!

Thanks! I was thinking the same thing after looking back on it, and was actually worried that might happen (people thinking it's over), so that's useful feedback. Thanks for your time!

Love the video! I’m looking to plan a snowboarding trip there this January-February 2025 season.
Any tips on keeping your GoPro batteries alive during the cold? Lol I tend to burn through mine and don’t get the amount of footage that I’d like to get.

Awesome! This is hands down my favorite mountain. You're going to love it.
I have about 6 total GoPro batteries, and I keep all the extra ones in one of my pockets that is easy to reach, with a hand warmer thrown in that same pocket. The hand warmer is key.
I also always keep the GoPro on, even when not recording. Maybe this is just a defect with mine (it's getting old), but I've noticed that when it turns off due to inactivity, when in cold temps, it won't turn back on unless I swap in a new warm battery. Just having it on doesn't drain battery much. Recording is what zaps it.
Also, get the new GoPro enduro batteries. They definitely last longer.

What were your favorite areas? Did you ever get in over your head/skill level?

My absolute favorite was definitely Rendezvous Bowl. However, with the Aerial Tram wait times, in addition to unloading and walking over to the bowl, it wasn't a run where you could just "spin laps." So we spent a lot of time spinning laps off the Bridger Gondola - everything off the Gondola was great, with our most frequent run being Gros Ventre.
That said, we also had a foot of fresh snow on the mid-to-upper parts of the mountain every day. Had it not been for that, I've no doubt that I likely would not have been able to do some of the double-blacks. This was by far the most challenging mountain I've ever been on (literally just got goosebumps thinking about it as I'm typing this), but because conditions were so favorable, and the terrain so challenging, I left Jackson Hole a much better, and more confident snowboarder than when I arrived. Luckily never got in over my head, but I was definitely intimidated on our first ride up the Tram.
I absolutely love this mountain. I've never seen so much variation in terrain from top to bottom in one run. I can't wait to go back someday.

@@justinsiegrist thanks for the detailed reply. I am going next week, unfortunately I don't think the conditions are going to be as favorable so I am a little worried about some of those double blacks lol. Bridger Gondola seems like a good area though for sure. Hoping we can get some more snow when I get there!
