This reminds me of something someone told me, you can raise all your kids together with the same rules & guidelines but they will turn out different with their personalities. Its so true ( w my 4 kids ) they all have their own personalities just like your longhorns they are all so different but I believe they know that with you, they are still safe, just a little out of sight for a bit. The speechless, jaw-dropping, wide-eyed incredulous look as Reba said “Did he really say taking our babies is for our own good?” Dolly - “On what planet?” Only Longhorn Lester could bring about a moment like this. Tex tells them “I got your back, little ladies. Don’t worry about Daddy, er..this guy. I’ll take care of him, and you two.” Just trying to lighten up a sad moooood.

Tex was sooo helpful. He kept an eye on the calves till they were loaded and kept their moms out of the way. Than pushed the moms out of the way do you could leave. If course it could be he just doesn't want any kids around lol! Actually, he is great with calves even when they are not his. That is more special than one might think.
I sure do love Tex! I think he reads your mind, Lester! He knows exactly what you’re doing and even helps you accomplish it. Watching how the mommas are when you take their babies away always breaks my heart. I know you only do it out of concern for all the cattle and I know they’ll be reunited one day but for now it’s so sad to witness the mommas’ reactions. I hope and pray that one day soon the grass @ LHL will be abundant and rich with all the nutrients the cows need. And that some of them can be returned to LHL’s. But for now this is how it has to be. Your herd is growing so fast Lester and all your cattle look so healthy. I’m so happy for you to be living your dream.
Your mom's don't freak out Santana used to but them moving around they are not afraid because there's no bad place. Everywhere you take them they know they are going to be safe and fed, they end up together and maybe a new guy around. LOL 💙💙
