- This was a recording of an instore livestream where we discussed the popular Nike SB yuto and Crenshaw skate club.
I personally was having mic issues that were not apparent during the recording. Bare with me and I will correct it.
Glad to hear someone talk about Yuto as a skater & his accomplishments! 🔥 99% of the reviews I’ve seen for that shoe are from “Sneakerheads” who can’t even pronounce his name correctly, let alone know that he’s an Olympic Gold Medalist! 🔥 I’m 14 mins in, so not sure if y’all mentioned it, but Yuto is somewhat part of 2 releases this year! 🥳 The April SB’s are from April Skateboards, which is not only the brand Yuto skates for, but the brand that turned him pro! 💯 SKATEBOARDING IS KILLING THE SB GAME RN! Rip Sandy Boedecker! 🙏🏽 #truth
Then there’s also a part 3 coming too next year, Rayssa got one coming. We learned that after. We filmed our review video before this live stream and have that coming in later this week but there’s definitely a lot tied into this shoe. And more too come!

Only one answer. Respect to the CSC, the story and details. But Yutos. I waited until I secured my pair to watch this video. Love the dialogue guys!
So what are your thoughts on the yuto?
Dunk SB of the year at this point. Love the simplicity and the colors mesh nicely. For wear, I dont like white sock liners, but I cant argue with how nice it looks. I cant go as far as saying it beats the SB4 like Coach in terms of releases for the year, but right behind it. Ill be the first to admit, I know nothing about Yuto other than he’s on top of the skating world. Wont even front. But you guys talking about the details makes you appreciate the shoe more.

& First thing I heard, continuing where I left off…and with all due respect, it’s probably the most inaccurate shit I’ve heard in a while…and that’s “Yuto is the next Prod” 😂😭🤮 SMH! Come on man, can’t be serious! 🤷🏻♂️
- What PROD has accomplished in the sport alone is legendary and game changing, but what he’s done with Nike SB is untouchable! 🔥 10 Pro Models with Nike (Not Dunks named after him) a feat only athletes like Kobe, Lebron, Jordan have achieved…and along with skaters like Eric Koston, Paul Rodriguez helped revolutionize the brand in the Skate community! 🛹 He signed to Nike in 2004, during a time where Nike was a corporate machine that wasn’t respected by the Skate culture! He was looked at as a SELL OUT, but he was elevating the skate scene so much, that he helped Nike get acceptance! 💯 To say Yuto is even anywhere near what Prod has done is weak! 99% of “Sneakerheads” only did research on Yuto once the sneaker was announced! Doubt ANYONE has followed his career, outside of actual skate fans! Same way people don’t know that Yuto is on April, who is owned by Shane O’ Neil, who prior to April was signed by Prod on Primitive! THERE’S LEVELS TO THIS! 💯 I know that’s dude’s opinion & I respect that, but as Sneakerheads, gotta get a little more educated on things! 🙏🏽 Just to add, Yuto is my favorite skater of this era, and Prod is my favorite skater of all time, so I know first hand the comparison is CRAZY! 💯 - DOPE VIDEO BY THE WAY! It’s good to get people engaged on these topics…
We had another guest come into our livestream that goes live today and he elaborates more on the April connection. We also went more in depth off camera about what your talking about. We’re we came into agreement that through everything Prod accomplished and turmoil he went through, he allows the next generation to have a foundation to build upon. Yuto now has the opportunity and the exposure to be the next in line. With Tobey and Yuto, the extension to more with April, SB is off to a revitalizing of the brand. Whereas Jordan is left with underwhelming collaborators.
