How to install / replace a porch light / outdoor light fixture
TOOLS Needed:
Ladder or step-stool
Screwdriver or electrical screwdriver
Utility or putty knife
Electrical tape
Caulk gun
Pliers
Wire nuts [if not included in light fixture]
Level
Safety glasses
Multimeter or voltage detector tool
STEPS:
Turn off power
Remove screw caps
Remove old fixture
Test to confirm power is off
Remove ground wire -loosen green screw
Unscrew old bracket
Clean Junction Box
Remove caulk with utility knife
Install new bracket
Level the bracket screws
Connect the ground wire
connect cables with wire nuts
Attach light to bracket screws
Tighten the screw caps
