    I bought it from Costco this summer. I love it. Best decision ever. I did not have the option of putting it on a post else I would. Only thing is, it cannot be removed to store against our Canadian winter. I will have to wrap it thoroughly. And it was not $99, I wish, lol. It was $150 in Toronto, Ontario

      I know! We still love it and it’s going strong. The convenience of using it was worth every penny. It’s unfortunate that you won’t be able to store over the winter but it should be fine as long as you remove all the water from the hose. 😱150!? Was that the discount price? Either way I still think is cheaper than other brands plus you get Costco’s return policy. Enjoy your summer watering your plants! 🪴

    Great option for the post vs cement! Do you know the size of the screws they provide for the bracket? Had to remount my hose reel and lost them in the process.

      Oh that’s unfortunate. I found the manual online but it doesn’t tell me the size of the screws.I’m not sure but I believe it is a 3/8 hex screw.

    Did the post hole foam turn into cement (@ 2:07). I've tried the instant foam before and I found the post loosen up over time. Thanks for the video

      The foam turn into a firm/hard surface and after a single winter the post hasn't loosen up. So maybe it's too early to tell? Thanks for watching!

    how does it compare to hoselink?

    • @TheMidlothianHome
      @TheMidlothianHome  7 місяців тому +2

      I find it challenging to provide a direct comparison as I have never owned a Hoselink retractable reel myself. Nonetheless, some significant distinctions include their patented adapters, the presence of an inline shutoff valve-a feature I find lacking in Sunneday reels-and the convenience of a quick release mechanism. It's worth noting that these features could potentially be supplemented with aftermarket products. So, in my opinion, it's uncertain whether the $250 price tag for an 82ft Hoselink reel represents a better investment compared to Sunneday's 98ft option at $99, given that their core functions are similar. I hope this comparison is useful to you.

      Costco’s online prices tend to be higher than those in their physical stores.

      Probably you feel like it’s cheaper on the website, but then they also charge you shipping whereas the shipping is inside of the price when it’s at Amazon or at Costco so it is a wash
