Bro, there is NO WAY you can put Jamarcus Russell being arguably the biggest bust in NFL draft history on the Raiders coaching staff! They did EVERYTHING they possibly could to make Russell successful. Jamarcus sat out/missed ALL of his rookie season training camp because of a contract dispute and didn't sign with the team until WEEK 2! He was so far behind, got ZERO reps with his wide receivers until halfway through SEPTEMBER, didn't get ANY reps or play in ANY preseason games meaning he got ZERO Opportunity to adjust to the speed of the NFL, and then REFUSED to put ANY effort into even learning the playbook (see the famous blank tapes incident.) Jamarcus also refused to work out, being incredibly out of shape and put in a TON of bad weight. Jamarcus also had a severe Lean addiction and traveled with a book bag filled with codeine everywhere he went. Jamarcus Russell being a HUGE BUST was totally and completely the fault of JAMARCUS RUSSELL!!!
Your 1000% wrong on palmer, Palmer tore his ACL in that playoff game and that’s what went wrong with him from then on, the bengals didnt trade him bc he was avg, he was holding out saying he would never play for the bengals no more. The bengals wanted to keep him.
You might want to research the 72 Dolphins. And you totally disregarded Palmer's injury against the Steelers in the playoffs as having an effect on his career.
I think Matthew stafford has the weirdest career in NFL history. He has hall of fame numbers but was never a star in the league. He's only been to the pro bowl once as an alternate after Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson turned down the invite. That means he's the only QB in nfl history with more 40 TD seasons than pro bowls and more There's only 7 qbs in nfl history who have thrown for multiple 40 td seasons and they're all hall of famers or future Hall of famers. It's the usual suspects. Peyton, Drew, Aaron, Tom, Patrick, Dan and the there's Matthew stafford who I don't think gets in Canton. No matter what he does. The media picks and he just blends into the background.
You clearly didn’t do any research on Jamarcus Russel he didn’t give a crap after he was drafted he got super fat didn’t even study film. At one point they sent him home with a blank disk and the next day he said gameplan looks good. It clearly wasn’t the coaching staff it was Jamarcus
Dude you needed to do some more research on Carson Palmer, "his first season was shaky?"...Dude Carson Palmer didn't take a single snap his rookie year. He sat behind John Kita his entire rookie season to learn from Kitna and then tools the reins for the Bengals in 2004. "The Bengals were sick of Carson Palmer being average?"...Bro that wasn't the reason he left Cincinnati at all! He HATED the Bengals front office and said he would retire before he would ever take another snap in a Bengals uniform, thus Palmer was the one who FORCED the trade to the Raiders, in which Cincinnati received TWO first round picks from the Raiders in the deal

Eli manning didn’t single handily beat the pats, the defense was didn’t let Brady get anything without a price. Jamarcus Russell was also was lazy and showed up to camp super overweight and never watched film. Hyperbole channel
Oakland in Al Davis' final years was a dumpster fire, but JaMarcus Russell must shoulder much of the responsibility for his own failures. Legend has it that they gave him a blank DVD which they told him contained the playbook, and asked him to study it that night. When he returned the next day and they asked him about, he said it was really interesting. Am I the only one who noticed that Ryan Leaf started getting his life back in order only after Russell displaced him as the biggest draft bust in NFL history? And Russell was indeed a bigger bust - Leaf went second, *after* Peyton Manning, while Russell was picked first ahead of *Calvin Freaking Johnson* (and, later in the first round, Adrian Peterson).
Yep. To be fair, it was a 14 game regular season with only two playoff rounds including the Super Bowl. If Eli had done nothing else with his career except beat Tom Brady and the 18-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl, that alone would get him in the Hall of Fame. That he beat Brady *twice* is amazing and hilarious.
Jamarcus just didn’t study or watch tape. It wasn’t the coaches fault they literally handed him a blank CD to watch and he said it had blitz packages on it. Dude was the least motivated numb of all time.
Mike Vick going to jail may have actually BENEFITED the Falcons, After all, If Vick doesnt go to jail in '07, The Falcons have no need to draft a new QB in '08, Meaning Matt Ryan never becomes a Falcon.
i get it but the one i kinda disagree with was David Carr. yeah, he was a bust, but unlike most cases of the busts, it wasnt his fault. Houston when he was QB didnt have an Oline, like at all.
Uh, the Raiders coaches didn't like JaMarcus because he was very lazy... he wouldn't even study film unless they bribed him with 10 Wendy's Cheeseburgers.
He played in only four seasons where we had at least 13 games played. He never got past the second round of the playoffs. He ran the ball well, and he fumbled a lot. His completion percentage was not good. He never accomplished much of anything. I actually loved watching him with the Eagles when he came back but if he’s Hall of Famer, there’s about 25 quarterbacks that have to be in before him.
