    I bought myself one for my 70th birthday tomorrow! lol I love using it because it’s not heavy like some of them are. I’m definitely a tool lady! 😁

    Great video. Definitely wanted to see this used before I considered buying it for occasional projects. I have the same mindset about tools... Looking for that balance in cost and quality.

    i spent a lot of money on a brand-new Stanley brad nailer electric I used ones 10 nails, and it stops working I did pay $30 to get it fix, it works for 3 nails and stops again --so I decided to buy the compressor and the Wen brad nailer, i already went through 2 boxes of brads in several lengths and on real wood, i mean hardwood here in my country (pine wood is not that available here) and the nailer is still working strong love it -- I am using it on furniture and some other wooden decorations, and it is working perfectly i am planning in buying 3 more to take advantage of the low price and high-performance obviously I am not using it on heavy construction sites just a weekend warrior

    Thank you for doing this review. I'm in the market for an 18 gauge air nailer and this might fit the bill.

      To be honest, this is one of those tools I use once in a while, hence purchasing an inexpensive model. Yes, it does still work. I used it for a few renovation projects so far and have had no issues. It seems as well built as more expensive models I've seen in box stores.

    You shouldn't get your fingers that close to the nailer tip, it could curve though the wood grain and go right in your finger.

    While im here i gotta ask, hows that air compressor holding up?
    We just got 2 at work to replace our old ones.

    • @engineerable
      @engineerable  3 місяці тому

      Works great, but I just use it occasionally. I have a larger oilless air compressor that is used everyday at the shop, and the piston cups need to be replaced every few years. The compressor motor life listed (usually 3000hrs) is how long the piston cups last. California Air Tools sells those replacement parts.

    I already have air compressor... but debating on this or the air strike ryobi... any advice? I’m a DIYer. Would you buy again.. or it’s great but now that you have used it more.. you wish u would have went with battery mounted Ryobi?

    • @engineerable
      @engineerable  3 роки тому +2

      It really depends on how much you're going to use this. For occasional DIY use, save the money and go for the compressed air powered Wen. If you were using this every day as part of your work, then the cordless convenience of the Ryobi Airstrike would be worth it. I have no regrets going with the standard compressed air powered WEN, and more money in my pocket.

    What nails did you use? I can’t find any 18ga nails for exterior use

    • @engineerable
      @engineerable  8 місяців тому

      Galvanized nails are usually used for exterior, but even the galvanized 18 gauge nails say "Interior use only" on the box. There are 18 gauge stainless brad nails like these that will work for exterior use. amzn.to/4a2kCzM or amzn.to/3RpICFT or amzn.to/3RpIJRP or amzn.to/47Kg3sr or amzn.to/47IkT9M

      @@engineerable what is the air compressor for? I’m still trying to learn using tools😅 I just ordered this on Amazon today. Would I be able to use it without the compressor?

    • @engineerable
      @engineerable  3 роки тому

      @@ZaiasMom The nailer is powered by compressed air, so you must have an air compressor to use the nailer. You have to connect an air hose between the air compressor and nailer to provide the power.

  • @erwinerwin1245

    I bought a similar one but different brand. I cannot load it as the nails get stuck on the hex screws that are on the magazine. Not sure what the purpose of those screws are expect to stop one from loading nails. Any suggestions? I have never had a brad nailer before so how they operate is a mystery to me

    • @engineerable
      @engineerable  2 роки тому +1

      You may need to post a picture somewhere to understand what's happening. Don't have this issue with the Wen.

      @@engineerable I got thinking that I may be loading it on the wrong side of the magazine. I tried the other side and when I insert a nail clip,one cannot shut the magazine as the magazine will not slide over top of the clip. Maybe I bought the wrong brad nails. I thought all brad nails fit all brad guns. I may be wrong on that
