Mayank - suggest you to focus on accuracy and then increase your speed by 5 wpm - and when you are within 5% mistakes, increase by another 5 wpm - like this gradual increase would have confidence in you and the accuracy would be maintained - time to be taken depends upon your hard work - also suggest you to do Sir KC magazine first and then progressive.

Sir I'm preparing for esic steno skill test. .I have completed only 90 exercise Sir throughly...I need that job badly..I'm trying sirs . says 80wpm and I thought I would write half shorthand and unknown words shortly for example please I will write pls like that sir..is it possible What should I do Sir to make that possible Sir. .

Sir, is evaluation done from the print out of transcribed matter or what we typed in software? If we use backspace to correct a word then is that counted as an error?
First of all in transcription, they may not be counting backspace as an error - secondly I am not aware as to how they do evaluation and that does not make much difference also.
Vikash - we need to devote min 3-4 hours in a day - reaching the speed mentioned by you can take time on lot of factors including the knowledge of the language, use of phrases, etc.

One day’s break doesn’t affect much but it shouldn’t be frequent - otherwise also on Sunday instead of transcription, it’s better to revise the spellings/meanings/outlines only

It seems you have increased speed in the past without caring for the accuracy - suggest you to write at 70 wpm and increase speed by not more than 5 wpm and only when you have good accuracy.

Dear - please see carefully - I have mentioned full or half against each but nothing against the wrong outlines - that is for our own purpose to know and practice the correct outline.
Sandhya - good questions - first of all, immediately after finishing dictation, please write down such words which you could not write properly and are in your memory - then do a reading of the entire passage quickly and correct the outlines wherever required - then start transcription and most probably there won't be any need of corrections if you are reading, understanding and typing sentence by sentence - at the end, if you get time, review by reading the entire passage and correct the mistakes found.
