@@AndySaenz924 Actually, the exact opposite is true; Olympians were supposed to only be amateurs in their sports and only recently did they allow pros to take part (in basketball for example, but only up to 3 players per team, I believe). Having said that, many Olympic athletes can make a very decent living from the popularity they get when they win and the sponsorships that ensue from Nike, Adidas, etc., especially in sports like track & field, gymnastics and swimming, so they don't need to have another job!
