As I was reading comments above yours I was thinking about how much I have learned about elephants from watching this channel! But you are absolutely right, there is still so much to learn. Thank you 🙏
This film is another classic.❤. Thanks for sharing these momentous moments, especially on a Monday. Transporting us to a safe and comfortable environment. Phabeni is just so tiny in between these giants. Their awesome power and ability to silently communicate with each other is nothing short of amazing. ❤❤❤❤
Both Somopane and Lundi have such great respect for Sebakwe as the dominant bull, and allow him to explore the baby at his leisure and his interest. These elephants are marvelously respectful of the rules of hierarchy.
I think you confuse the hierarchy somewhat. Dominant bull does not mean that he occupies the highest position in the herd hierarchy, only that he is the dominant male in the herd. Elephant herds are primarily matriarchal in nature - the oldest female has the highest position in the herd hierarchy. Orca pods are similar.
It is amazing to see how accepting are those ellies of a new addition. They will embrace Phabenie as one of them as they did in the past with Timisa and Khanysa. Phabeni is so lucky to have found a wonderful ellie and human family that will take care of him forever!!!🥰♥️🍀🐘🌟🙏🏻
I just love these big guys. So calm and reasuring. And Phabeni only have eyes (and trunk) for mama Lundi. He really has missed his mother, sweet little man. 😍🥰
my thought is the reason that lundi and others except the babies so easily is they have seen, and watched you and the carers so loving and caring of them the way you did when they came in. The elephants are so smart. How could any one hurt these beautiful animals. god bless
I am watching this in a hospital room, just got out of cancer surgery a few hours ago (successful!). HERD elephant videos have been part of my healing proceess. They bring me joy and hope! Much gratitude to everyone at HERD for your loving-kindness and compassion . It is so uplifting to watch this little orphan become part of his new family.
What a brave person you are, just out of surgery and watching Herd videos and commenting on them. I wish you a quick and complete recovery. And your so right the compassion Adine and the Carers have is amazing and they give all that compassion to not only the babies and the grown orphans but to each other. Is amazing to watch.
Exactly! The wild herd that is semi-resident on Adine's property have lots of babies and seem to be very healthy and prosperous. Having and raising babies in the end is all creatures most important purpose.
The precious little boy is already learning from the magnificent bulls. Everyone at Herd must be full of joy and pride. Bless Lundi's caring heart. Beautifully done.
Sebakwe seems smitten with his new baby brother. Thank you Adine and Herd team this is amazing, elephant society is very complex. Phabeni will have some interesting dreams tonight 😍
How patient and polite of Somopane to give Sebakwe time with Phabeni! The ellies in this herd are amazing. ❤ Thank you Adine and wonderful Carers for taking care of this loving herd.❤
How can animals that are so big, be so graceful and sure of foot around something so small? This is amazing to watch. Thank you for sharing these gentle giants story. I have learned so much from Herd Orphanage! You all are awesome!!
Wow, these guys are tremendous, magnificent works of God art! I can't stop staring in wonderment. I won't look in their eyes for too long...it makes my heart hurt too much. The Kings and a Tot! Seb peeking at the baby and protecting him with his mighty might. I love them so much.

I'm just in awe! I do love this herd. They absolutely reflect the love and gentleness of their Carers. This baby couldn't be in a better place on earth💖💖💖
Watching Phabeni with the giant elders almost looks like an optical illusion. He is so small and adorable. It is so heartwarming to see that the herd does not care where Phabeni came from, he is with them now and is theirs. Gotta love elephants.

It seems the males are definitely glad to have a little boy. I don't remember them sharing this much direct curiosity to Khaniysa, although they were very accepting. How exciting..❤❤❤
What great interaction! Somopane calming Lundi...and Sebakwe paying lots of attention to baby bull! Lundi very accepting and accommodating to baby Beni and sure appears she has accepted him. A great bonding! Was surprised by Sebakwe's inquisitive nature and it shows his gentle sensitive side (so beautiful) Somopane stepping aside so Sebakwe could bond! How intelligent he is! I understand why our big bulls were introduced as opposed to cows...this makes the bond stronger between Lundi and Phabeni?...Brilliant plan! Phabeni so calm and curious, following and finding solace in Lundi! What a precious little one he is! Blessings to all involved in this adorable meeting!! Thank you Herd!

This is absolutely wonderful. Sebakwe has taken to this little bull and has given him a new interest. I bet he'll keep a close eye on little Seuntjie. Somopane is so respectful of Sebakwe. Surely Phabeni will come to know Somopane too, but we can see here that Sebakwe has risen to the occasion and will be close to the little one. Somopane's tusks are the most beautiful of all. It's truly amazing to watch how gentle these giants are with baby Phabeni. I love watching these videos. All of the gentle touching and soothing sounds are so wonderful to be able to experience. I only wish we could experience it all in person. What an experience that would be.
Amazing, they are so big and Phabeni so little, my heart is in my mouth watching this despite knowing that Herd are the experts and all is well. Its such a powerful experience on so many levels for us, you and the elephants. Thank you so much for sharing it
Wow brave little Phabeni making hia first move towards the very big bull Sebakwe with Somppane by his side Lundi as usual keeping close by her new babyorphan
Isn't this just the most gratifying feeling for Adine and her carers. Their care and enrichment for all the members of the herd show their strong love and commitment. Proud to me a small part of this conservation effort. Adine's parents would be very proud of what she has carried on.❤❤❤
I see that too...I think Lundi + rest of herd sense Phabeni's tenderness... He's a gentle spirit by nature, plus his trauma, separation from his momma + herd obviously DEEPLY affected him...He grieved deeper + longer than Khanyisa did, it seems...(Khanyisa, a much more "outgoing" personality; Phabeni, more inward, sensitive by nature). Adine is sooo right -- they are all unique -- like we are, in ways... Are they not the MOST amazing creatures?!!!
Phabeni is going to make a wonderful leader in his herd! I could tell that from his attitude in the beginning. He didn't seem to be afraid of anything or anybody! What a cool little guy!!❤

Hi…yes please let me know if you get an answer about the “bump” on him. I’ve been wondering about for some time now. Was afraid to ask…lol Thanks
@@brentmason6782 HERD media marketing handles all social media like Facebook LinkedIn Instagram UA-cam.. and I'm sure bombarded with questions so yes if I see an answer will report! My job is in front of a computer all day ( boo) so I'm very aware (painful lol).
Such touching moment, every body loves this little brave boy, thank you Lundi to becoming a great mom again,so proud and thankful to her, well done team
It's truly amazing to watch how gentle these giants are with baby Phabeni. I love watching these videos. All of the gentle touching and soothing sounds are so wonderful to be able to experience. I only wish we could experience it all in person. What an experience that would be.
Phabeni is soooo lucky to have Lundi, my heart bursts at their gentleness🥰& growing connection.
Thank you to Adine and carers for their skillful and hard work with the HERD ❤💐❤.
Another beautiful and successful introduction. Can tell how much Sebakwe is enjoying the new baby; he's so gentle with our little one.
So happy for Phabeni, that these introductions are going so well!!!❤
Isn't this just the most gratifying feeling for Adine and her carers. Their care and enrichment for all the members of the herd show their strong love and commitment. Proud to me a small part of this conservation effort. Adine's parents would be very proud of what she has carried on.❤❤❤
Lundi is much more protective of Phabeni than she was of Khanyisa. Perhaps it was because Khanyisa had more confidence.
This is just amazing!
I see that too...I think Lundi + rest of herd sense Phabeni's tenderness...
He's a gentle spirit by nature, plus his trauma, separation from his momma + herd obviously DEEPLY affected him...He grieved deeper + longer than Khanyisa did, it seems...(Khanyisa, a much more "outgoing" personality;
Phabeni, more inward, sensitive by nature).
