    We have to consider that Luciano learned everything by ear, that is amazing for one of the most famous tenor in history!

      Да ничего удивительного. Большинство вокалистов учат так. Тот же Корелли так учил оперы

    Bravissimo come sempre. A me non importa se c'era qualche errore. Il grande compositore Beethoven aveva detto, parlando dei pianisti, che si potrebbe sempre perdonare qualche errore, qualche nota sbagliata, pero non si potrebbe mai perdonare uno che suonava senza passione. Pavarotti canta "E la solita storia del pastore" con tanta emozione e la voce e bellissima come sempre, nonostante il cosidetto "errore" a 1 minuto. Per me, Luciano Pavarotti sara sempre fra i migliori, con Corelli, Caruso, Gigli, Bjorling, di Stefano, Wunderlich, Lanza ed altri.

      @@ladyhawkke7002 I agree. He was so wonderful any bad moments are minimized by the mostly wonderful moments of his singing. I saw him in Reno a few years before his death and because he seemed so fragile I feared for him and any possible inability to sing the high notes properly. I needn't have worried. The wonderful Pavarotti was a pure professional. He sang his entire range beautifully and right on each note. His years of training and practice rewarded him with a wonderful performance.

    3:58 perfect exemple of how a ténor should covers his passagio to go the top effortless ! The G is softly rounded so the high B is perfect

    • @ilecier
      @ilecier Рік тому

      Myth. You could hit the B well without covering the G if you understood and mastered the technique (di Stefano for example didn't cover the g oftentimes) However, if sung without cover
      the jump into the B would sound harsh. And bel canto singing is all about smooth singing.

    In some shows if Pavarotti sang a wrong note or didnt hit the correct pitch he was booed. Its a sad commentary on humanity when we cant even accept occasional human frailty in people. Pavarotti was brilliant into his late 50's. How many other vocalists can say that?

      +Thomas K Geydan Of course, he had already become so famous that it didn't matter. But honestly, a singer of this level should NOT make a musical mistake singing such a popular aria. This is simply proof that he was very musical and had a great gift but he was not a great musician.

      Ouch in measures 7&8. Also in measures 36,37&38, “il dol-ce sem bian-te,” the notes on “bian-te” are F#, D#, E....but he sings F#, D#, F-natural (which is incorrect), then slides to the E. He does this on other recordings as well.
      And the closing two measures on “Ah-i-me!,” the notes are D#, E, E. Again, he insists on singing D#, F#, E. 😞

Even Corelli almost had a nervous attack before he sang because you really never knew if the voice would behave itself. Maybe you just expect something different from the human voice than I - not sure what that would be. Pavorotti was justly famous. Aero1

      That blind guy is actually a pretty good singer. He's definitely no opera singer, but he's not some guy who can't hit a single note. Also, his passion was opera. He started out wanting to be a tenor, only to be turned away because he was blind. You can look it up. I love shitting on that guy as much as the next guy, but if you want to point fingers at the reason for the dying art that is opera today, point all ten at stage directors.....

    Non mi piace qui, né per senso del fraseggio, né per stile. Le licenze che vengono prese non mi sembrano avere un gusto musicale. E la linea del canto manca di sfumature.- Blas Cortés

    A great voice but not a great musician! That musical error at the start should have been avoided!
