Bravissimo come sempre.
@@ladyhawkke7002 I agree. He was so wonderful any bad moments are minimized by the mostly wonderful moments of his singing. I saw him in Reno a few years before his death and because he seemed so fragile I feared for him and any possible inability to sing the high notes properly. I needn't have worried. The wonderful Pavarotti was a pure professional. He sang his entire range beautifully and right on each note. His years of training and practice rewarded him with a wonderful performance.
Myth. You could hit the B well without covering the G if you understood and mastered the technique (di Stefano for example didn't cover the g oftentimes) However, if sung without cover the jump into the B would sound harsh. And bel canto singing is all about smooth singing.
In some shows if Pavarotti sang a wrong note or didnt hit the correct pitch he was booed. Its a sad commentary on humanity when we cant even accept occasional human frailty in people. Pavarotti was brilliant into his late 50's. How many other vocalists can say that?

Good grief. Pavarotti wasn't the greatest tenor of the post Caruso era, that would be Corelli or MDM, but when he was on his game, he was very exciting to hear in person. Even Corelli almost had a nervous attack before he sang because you really never knew if the voice would behave itself. Maybe you just expect something different from the human voice than I - not sure what that would be. Pavorotti was justly famous. Aero1
