    Glad to know I’m not the only metalhead that’s into rockabilly LMAO. Love that south of heaven shirt dude. Thanks for the lesson 🤘🏻 this stuff is in my roots! You kept it short n’ simple, and I learned it in no time. It’s also a good thing you tell people in your lessons like this one, to take it slow. Those last couple of words at the end there is stuff I need to remember everyday, your awesome bro (new sub)

      I lov guitar and have played all my life. But years ago there was no way to learn stuff like this without a real person in the room. I was sent to parchman prison In. 2003 and got out of that hell in 2014 and it’s been 5 years free now and I’m just now learning the phone and stuff I need to know on the internet.. a lot changed those years I was gone. And you make it peaceful to learn. This is all new to me it’s like I was placed on another planet for 10 and a half years. Thank you for being you I guess Im Trying to say.. I’m a song writer and I have to learn cover songs to make the bar owners happy and u help me so much!

      Thank you for checking out the lesson. I also heard this song for the first time when I first started getting into Rockabilly. In 1991 Rhino records released a great compilation called "Rock This Town: Rockabilly Hits, Vol.1 & 2" and that's was where I first heard the tune. I was young and really dug this compilation because it featured a bunch of great Rockabilly hits from the 50's and songs from the Rockabilly Revival era of the 70s & 80s.

    This song has haunted me since I first heard it in 1971. I was afaid to even try to play it even though I could play the main lick slowly. That was decades ago. A few days ago the melody hit me out of the blue. Why? I just dont know, but Im going to get over my fear and try to play it. Im going to follow this video and try to come as close as I can. I have eclectic music tastes and good music is good music no matter what genre it is. I find value and knowledge anywhere I can find it..or hear it. Thank you for putting this out there.

    Great lesson as usual.. but it seems everyone has forgotten about the original 1955 Charley Ryan version. I still like the original version best. Thanks for the lesson.

      Hi Steve. Yes, it is. Indian has always been one of my favorite motorcycle brands. I still remember when I caught my very first glimpse of a Indian Chief. I was mesmerized.

    Hi Damian, may I ask, you are playing a G note in the intro but over E major chord. Which E major scale also has G# instead of G. I know it sounds right. But is there a proper reason why this is done? Thanks.

    Soooo, the echo pedal is a no no? My bad... thanks!

    • @Damianblf
      @Damianblf  4 роки тому

      Hi IamUncledeuce. In this lesson I didn't use a delay pedal. I just used a tiny bit of reverb. I wanted my tone to sound similar to the "Commander Cody" recorded version. But if you prefer to use delay while you're playing the song. Then you should use it. Whether the guitar riffs are played with delay or without, it will still sound great.
      Thanks for checking out the video & enjoy the lesson.
